Damn you Lauren, you beat me to it! Anyway, I played the shit out of the demo yesterday, and it pwns. They fixed tons of stability issues and such from the open beta too.

The intro is the best part. One of the best intros I've ever seen in a game. Really. And it's a demo.

Geez, I downloaded the demo last night, but it must have been corrupted, the installer would freeze on loading. Downloading it again right now. If it gave Lauren orgasms, it must be good.

to get back on track:

doesnt seem like they fixed the AI properly yet. of course the demo was with orcs so i guess you cant blame em for making them dumb :p

but atm it's not really a challenge. just build some defenses, build up an army and head out. didn't even loose one squad...

ow yeah and the standard long range artilery doesn't do enough damage. sure it sends the poor little infantery dudes flying through the air, but actual damage is limited. It's pretty much useless against heavy armor (except if the AI keeps it stationary even when under fire, as if that would ever happen... just wait there while arti blasts you to pieces...)

still a shitload of fun though.

the army painter is a good addition, since i think most standard W40K space marine squads suck ass. i like dark colors and camo, not some bright shit.

it allows Jebus to make pink space marines too, so i guess he's happy.
