Do you know how to summon followers in the console?

It Wandered In From the Wastes
I am in the radioactive vault and ED-E just disappeared :shock:

I still have his perk, so I know for sure he is not dead.

I tried to type "moveto player ed-e" or something like that from the Fallout 3 console, but nothing. Can someone help?
 
Hah, I have exactly the same problem. At one point in the game, ED-E was gone, but the game thinks he is still with me. Would be really nice to get a solution to this.

In the console, one at a time:

prid #####
moveto player

If you've gotten ED-E's armor upgrade, ##### = 1732d0
If you've gotten ED-E's weapon upgrade, ##### = 1732d1
If you've gotten neither upgrade, ##### = 1732cf

If nothing (visible) happens, add enable between the two above codes.

It worked with enable added, however, when i clicked on him, the companion interface didn't work...

So i raged and reloaded a save from 4 hrs ago, FAKKRAEP!!!
 
Doesn't work to me and I can't read what's written in the console. Prid x part works, then I type in enable and then moveto player, but the last one doesn't work.

/Edit: Now it worked. German keyboard, z == y...
 
How do you find out the codes for the others? I told Cass and EDE-E to go wait at Lucky 38 and when went to try and re-recruit em, poof gone.
 
Ouch, I just recruited Arcade and he disappeared on the way to Vault 3... anyone know his code?

EDIT: OK, can't find it anywhere, and don't have a save from before this happened, so I'd really appreciate if someone could go in-game and look it up for me. Thanks.

You open console (~) and then click on the NPC. The code should appear on top of the screen.

Are you sure they are gone? First I thought too that it's a bug, because I searched in front of Lucky 38 for them... but they are actually in the presidental thingy. I didn't knew this and was searching for a very long time until I got told that they are actually in there and that it is my home. :p

I searched inside at the time too. Maybe they'll appear there eventually. I'll check again.

EDIT: They did eventually appear.
 
Btw. just in case someone wonders: If you summon a follower via console, the companion wheel doesn't work. I've fixed this with telling ED-E to go back to Primm, then I've waited a little bit and talked to him again. Then the companion wheel was back.

I think it's just you, it works just fine for me. I'm not sure what's different for the two of us, though. Maybe it's that I always include the two zeros in front of companion ID.
 
This just keeps happening for me...

Ever since I recruited Gannon, he disapeares every hour or so, and i have to console his nerdy ass back to me. I only tagged him along for his quest, but its still a pretty nasty bug.

And now, I just exited Vault 34 and lost ED-E. I still have his perk, but he is not in 34, not in presidential suite, not in Primm, and console commands do nothing (I select him, but moveto player just doesnt seem to work). At least I could access his inventory and get my Anti-mat rifle and ton of ammo back.

Anyway, I think ill reload. Vault 34 is a chore, and the rewards are not that stellar. Of all the Vaults its the only crappy one.
 
OK, the brotherhood repair dude in the faction shack disappears when I enter. Could someone please post his code? Thanks.
 
He is only there every x days. Just wait a while, he comes back.
 
Nah, the issue is, I saw him when I first went in the shack, and he disappeared a second later and thus fas not returning, so I'm almost convinced it's a bug.

I never had companions disappear before I got the achievement: [spoiler:968cd19c48] The whole gang's here[/spoiler:968cd19c48] but that's probably just a coincidence.

Yes, but if you use the console(~), save and exit the game then reload then you can get achievements again.
