Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
Well it hasn't started yet but the season is here. Did anyone watch MS conference?

I was disappointed in the lack of 09 games, except for Left 4 Dead 2. Did not see that one coming, seems like L4D just came out.

One thing I sort of saw coming but didn't believe it until I saw it was MGS for 360. That will make a lot of people shit in their pants.

The motion camera thing really surprised me as well. That whole Milo thing was indeed amazing.

Any thoughts on the conference or the E3 trailers that have come out so far?

I have been sitting in the Team Xbox E3 megaforum and System Wars all morning talking about it and honestly opinions are mixed.

The big thing with this new game is that we honestly do not know what it is going to be. Snake is gone in favor of Raiden, "Tactical Espionage Action" is gone in favor of "Lightning Bolt Action", and all that talk still rings true in my head of Kojima saying he wanted to make a game for "Western Audiences".

If we are going by how Raiden was in MGS4 we very well could be getting a third person hack and slash beat em up game. Either way I think it is safe to say the "Solid Snake Saga" is officially ended and for that I am very thankful. MGS4 was a beautiful send off and I was going to be a bit disappointed if Kojima attempted to continue his story.

Also, I do not think we have heard the last out of Kojima. Sony still has a conference coming up and there is another person whose appearance needs addressing. :wink:

My guess is that there are two games in development.

One starring Raiden with LIGHTNING BOLT ACTION! and one starring Big Boss with more traditional Metal Gear gameplay.

And then there's the whole Mask issue at play...

The new COD looks a lot of fun, can't wait until it comes out.
 
Either way, the fact that MGS is on 360 is a pretty big deal, whatever form the game takes. Even the fact that Kojima was there. It made me go Holy shit!.

The game will probably be different and that's a smart move since a lot of xbox people don't know what's happening in the MGS world anyway.

As far as the teaser itself, it's still clouded in mystery. For one thing, the Raiden looking dude is a bit weird. He has that thing over his eye and has brown eyes while I clearly remember Raiden having blue eyes.

Plus, there is Big Boss, which could mean that the game is actually about someone other than Raiden and takes place before MGS. It also could be that there is a MG remake in the works (i hope this to be the case) in addition to this game. Or, it could also be that there is this for 360 and a whole another MGS game for PS3, which I doubt since spreading two games of one series over different systems is plain retarded. Then again, stranger things have happened.

BTW, I was bored to death with Ubisoft address, although they had some HUGE guests.
 
Star Wars Old Republic trailer is pretty rocking. Episodes 1-3 should of been more like it. No gameplay so it kinda worthless except for pointless over hyping.

awesome. I love the KoTOR games so I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one.
 
I know Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Tie Fighters and Star Destroyers are iconic to Star Wars but don't you all think that Bioware's artists are overdoing it with creating all kinds of retro versions?

So basically every iconic Star Wars thing is a version of some earlier similar thing or person.

Nah, they flirt enough with the expanded universe for it to work and is mostly considered canon.
 
The Star Wars trailer is kinda stupid. Its graphic quality is way too high for an MMO. And the voice acting is terribad.

Don't care about L4D2 beyond noting the game's name is still stupid.

The MGS thing is an irrelevant beyond affirming that PlayStation lost this generation of consoles. But everyone not in complete denial already knew that.

haha, are you kidding me? so just because a game is a certain genre, it's cgi videos can't be of a certain quality? care to explain? obviously the game itself won't look like that and there's no law that says only to make teaser trailers with in-game graphics.
