Ok we are a bit undecided here between three locations to start.

Cleveland?
New York
London.

I will be willing to hear any other choices.

Going for cleveland, because of the reasons uziel listed, plus from my experience living there, it just has the approprate feel to it. From its burned out industry to newer landmarks like the rockhall/science center, to the general sky scrapers and suburbs, its got just about everything covered. Also, it on its own, can have an 'empty' feel to it as is. (just drive through downtown in the middle of a cloudy day) Theres this impending feeling of doom and emptiness...

New York City. Everything happens to New York City, and I sure as hell wouldn't do college study in CLEVELAND!

Only reason I would go there is probably a layover on my way somewhere else.

NYC = cliché
London = brrrr bad weather :p
Cleveland = uncharted territory for me
Other? dunno

so i'm submitting a blank vote :)

I think the weather in London is great for setting up atmosphere. Ever watched 28 Days Later...?
Besides, it doesn't rain EVERY time.

Ok, just to muck this up more, I voted for NY- that makes us dead even. One vote is the breaker. But the voter should at least be a player.

I vote London.

If anyone was put off by the fact that they don't know London, I've sent welsh a short guide.

I think we're sinking here.

Ok, here's another possibility- how about we just call it "the city" and let each person see it as they wish? It's a little nebulous- but think of it as "generic city" that is something in between a modern Gotham City (Batman) and Metropolis (superman) with some European charm (London or Paris).

It's a good idea, but I wouldn't like it. I mean, I voted London so that I could run around all the famous London sites. :)

Thread winner, I'm for that. It works.
