Few weeks ago i send email to Urquhart and try to asked him, if BiS planning to make fallout 3 and generally he answered that BiS make one title each without any future plan to make the sequel for it, he continue that it is possible for them to make the sequel IF...if it's "possible". This happend to fallout, Fallout was design as a single RPG and not a serial RPG, you can see it from fallout 2 and judge it by yourself.
There are so many element and storythat not "so" fit in fallout 2, compare with fallout (it's not about gameplay, FO2 gameplay is better then FO-i admited it)...if you played both fallout and fallout2, you can fell the different from each title, many people said (including me) that FO is "more post apocaliptic" or "darker universe" then FO2. How they set the place, the quest, story, enemy and etc is all fit, like it was create in the right purpose. I guess Tim Chain, the lead programmer and designer, is the back bone of FO succes...
Now without his guidence, fo2 lost "some touch of FO", but it still a good RPG...
Fallout 3 is an "imaginating" RPG for now, i don't know if there will be FO3 or not, but i think it's better for BiS to end fallout and fallout 2 story line and recreate/rewrite a new storyline for fallout to start a new series, fallout saga. I meant BiS or Urquhart should start to think not only for the current title, but for the whole series...look at Ultima series, i bet Ricard Garriot, the Lord Britist, was not design Ultima just for a single RPG, but i'm sure he planning it for the whole series, a big story...ok, if BiS think fallout saga is to big for a project, why don't they plan for fallout trilogy?
