Endings Questions *obvious spoiler warnings*

I jumped back amongst saves to try out different paths. Did the Yes Man, House and NCR endings, not the Caesar one yet.

The oddest thing to me, biggest question I have, is in the Yes Man path: at one point he asks you if you wish to blow up the dam's power generators or redirect power to the robots in the Fort's bunker. I've gone back and forth and done both and, as far as I can tell, there's no difference. Not in how the endgame plays out, not in the ending slides. Did my game bug out or do both paths lead to the same ending?

Do all companions have ending slides? Despite having Boone along he had no slide, nor did Cass though I never recruited her. But I never recruited Lily or Raul either but they had slides. Is it just some of 'em?

Companions slide depend a lot on what you have done with them and if you solved their personal quest. I didn't got a endgame slide for Boone as well, even though I used him the whole game long (but didn't made his personal quest). But for this, I got a slideshow for Raul, which I didn't even moved a step from Black Mountain. More strange was the endgame slide with Lily, where it was said she travels along with me... but I never moved her out of Jacobstown as well. So this ending just feels wrong to me.

I've wrote down a lot of the endings on the Vault:
Serious spoil0rz: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_endings

So there is a lot, but it seems like the triggers might be odd here and there.

Why the hell would you put a link to the Vault in spoiler tags? Weirdest shit ever.

Oh, it gets weirder. I didn't change anything in my Jacobstown interactions, my endgame saves were after that, yet in the NCR and House endings it would just talk about her medication and grandkids, yet in the Yes Man ending it suddenly said she travelled with me.

Y'hello?

I never got any endings for Chief Hanlon despite finishing Return to Sender. Weird!

Think they might be bugged? Looks like.

I do like the way minor locations/factions' end-game results were tweaked depending on the strength/weakness of the NCR and other major factions.

It's a link to a page with shitloads of serious spoilers. I don't wanted to write that there are shitloads of serious spoilers. Have done it now.

I finished Return to Sender and got a ending for Chief Hanlon. I told him that I will nobody tell about his story, etc. pp. Then I got the kind of good ending, where he goes back to Redding.

Smells like script-/ trigger-bug to me.

I really like how many different outcomes there can be, but I can't understand why there is no Repconn text. I didn't got any in my game and I couldn't find any in the gamefiles.

Well, the Bright Followers are mentioned in a Novac ending, no?

Also yeah, seems like endings are bugged, both in my Hanlon ending (shoulda gotten the bad ending).

Anyone done the Yes Man path and blown up the Dam? What kind of ending did you get? It seems superweird that such an enormous area-changing decision wouldn't be mentioned.

Yes, it seems like the Bright Brotherhood is mentioned in Novac... but for me, the Novac ending was about how bad the location was hit by the Legion and nothing was said about the ghouls.

Though Novac was a low-priority target for the Legion, many of Novac's citizens died in its defense. With no other communities coming to its defense, Novac would eventually fall to the Legion's persistent attacks.

It's exactly the only Novac ending, where they are not mentioned.

I thought it was amusing that I got the ending slide for Boone and Ed-E even though they died on my assault of the Legion camp.

This happened to me also. Also got no ending in regards to Chief Hanlon, to be honest the ending of that quest was a bit anti-climatic to me anyhow. I'd have to go through it again but it seemed like I kept asking what his reasoning behind his decisions were and then the dialogue ended without giving me another opportunity to rat on him or keep his secret, like it just assumed because I kept asking for his reasoning that I was going to accept what he did.

That quest is extremely poorly structured/designed. It's a load of deliver quests, tedious as hell. The writing is stellar, but the options given at the end aren't, really.

Yeah, mention of Boone is dependent on whether you solved his quest or not. Finished it once without solving his quest, then with it.

ED-E's slides are passing too quick as he's not talking, but beeping instead and the lenght of slide showing time seems to be dependent on the length of voice.

More questions:

- I'm not sure I get the mechanic of "all your crimes will be forgiven" from the NCR Ambassador and Ceasar when you exit the Tops after dealing with Benny. Does it actually reset your reputation? (I wasn't paying attention) If so, how stupid is that?

- Do any decisions you make, other than who you side with, actually influence the fight on the dam? I see the Boomers fly over and BOMB THE FRIGGING DAM (how retarded is that), but does it do anything? I never got the BoS or Enclave on my side, and I stopped Chief Hanlon's little plan, do those decisions influence the actual fight? Did anyone have BoS/Enclave soldiers on their side during the fight?

I've experienced it just for Ceasar's Legion, that wasn't too stupid. They give you some kind of token, that everyone in Legion recognizes and doesn't hurt you. Though they mention they don't like you. Also, Ceasar himself asks you if you've really believed that he won't kill you after what you'd done. So that feels okay.
Also, if you continue acting against faction's interests, your bad reputation will be restored.

I've had the BoS soldiers sticking along with me, when did the ending for NCR and fought my way through the dam interior.
Also, told Arcade to stick with remnants and then met him at the Dam reception. Other remnants join you at the second half of the Dam (if you played for NCR). When in Wild Card ending they just join you when you exit the Dam interior.
Actually, seen three of them: pilot stays in vertibird and three (or maybe fourm but I haven't noticed the fourth) others are paratrooping. One stays at the center of Dam, Dr. Henry and Cannibal (IIRC) continue with you up to the gates of Legate camp. Cannibal also comes with you to the Camp. He's equipped with minigun, but his help is nearly useless.

The best combo when I nearly haven't had to fight was to do the quests for NCR including protection of president, then switching to Yes Man. Hence I was having some protectrons, NCR soldiers and remnants fighting for me.

Dunno about Chief Hanlon's stuff tho'. It seems not to affect the situtation at all.

And then he doesn't. I spent that entire dialogue with him trolling the hell out of him and all he did was sit there and grunt threats.

Good Frith I hate this character.

Yeah :( That was a big disappointment.
