Hi! This is a video presentation of my interface for The Sum (Nous Aurons) mod. Entirely remade, inspired by Mac OSX Yosemite interface and designed to look a bit like a Web Browser.

Major changes to original interface :

- No more mention of PIPBoy, replaced by GPSP. (Global Positioning System Portable)
- No more PIPBoy caracter. Replaced by the Smiley!
- A LOT of rewritten perks/traits/skills.
- All-french version. (game will be avail. in French and English versions)
- White backgrounds for texts.
- Presence of a set of interface icons.
- New Skill : Search (Fouille) replacing Gambling skill.
- Gambling interface will be used for food cooking.
- Radiation is replaced by Hunger (Faim). Robots will have 100% hunger resistance.
- Poison is replaced by Toxicity.
- Reputation is replaced by Portable electricity monitoring. Consuming batteries bring the main char to get electricity to use later.
- Race of the caracter not visible anymore.
- Aiming to a specific part of the body as been disabled.
- Worldmap day/night animation changed to a larger animation (planet)
- Larger buttons almost everywere.
- Char bar enlarged to fit hi-resolutions.
- Multiplayer, Tutorial and single mission disabled.
- 20 prefab characters.
- Soundtrack made by Antonio De Braga (https://soundcloud.com/antonio-de-braga)

Please tell me what you think of all this, and feel free to grab any of these ideas for your own mod!

Is the main menu screen fonts black!!! :O If so, how did you do it? I've been trying forever to change the font colors of the main menu!

...Sorry, got really REALLY excited about the font.

Love the new interface! Can't wait to play! Keep these awesome updates coming!

Hehehe! Excellent for me!! I made it black but I also intend to change the font to AvanGarde font, the font of my main logo.

So here is an EASY and DIRECT way to do it, even make your own fonts! I looked around here and there and I think a way to do this without working much is to simply download Photoshop version 5.0 -- (NOT CS5) -- from a torrent client. Very easy to find, very light too (58 MO!), and also it can live along on the same PC with CS5 (but not be opened at the same time). You may get a .dll error, I do, but it works anyways.

You open the font with 5.0 and see the pink lines and white background as the main layer. The letters are in the channel. Past 5.0, it will not be shown that way anymore. Use the CROP option to enlarge of 1 pixel the main layer at the bottom part, using white as the selected back color. This will create a passage to use the paint bucket tool to all letters. You simply paint the background black. save it that way (with the 1 pixel enlarged) and it's done! Keep the document opened and you can change it over and over to make tests, hitting CTRL + S and starting back the game to test. Sometimes, the letters order get fucked up. I then take back a backup file and start again and It works.

core/guy/def_style.cfg = Define the fonts you want
core/guy/font/fnt_Large.PNG = Main menu font.
fnt_Monitor.PNG & spin texts = Using pale background for texts, I suggest you don't change them to black, because there is a color code working on (red for decreased stat & skills, blue for increased, yellow for selection, etc.), BUT you can make it light gray (green will be added) to bring it to be more visible on a light background. This is what I did in my mod to help with the white background. You then can change " font_normal " in def_style.cfg to something else than fnt_Monitor and turn it black. Some texts will then be black without messing around with the color codes. You will be able at any time to change the Pipboy text to black using a command in the text itself (at the beginning) : <rgb:0,0,0>

Good work with this, and ask me if you don't find Photoshop anywhere, I'll send you my copy.

Whatever you're doing it looks incredible!
I'm jealous :seriouslyno: & excited .
Exactly what a good looking Mod should do...

Thanks so much! I forgot to tell that this mod will not be called The Sum for nothing... I already added A LOT of contents downloaded from all over Internet to it. I intend to present all other mod creators in my credits, but it may happened that I got some contents from people who didn't want to share it for other modders (hard to tell!). If that happends and somebody see in my contents something that should not go there, please tell me and we will try to make a deal!

Thank you, :look: looking for Photoshop 5.0 now...

I found CS5.5 master collection easily about a year ago on VUZE. Something like 5 gigs. VUZE works fine for me ont MAC and PC, you can search and download torrents, it is like using LimeWire to get all kinds of movies and apps. The only thing is that you need to add more Search Templates or Search servers to it to make it effective, but it is very easy to do. Use this site for the templates : https://sites.google.com/site/vuzetemplates/home/templates-download.

It's 8.1GB I downloaded it a long time ago, still got the package but i don't have the internet to upload it.

Thank you very much! Interface have changed a little recently, so here are some new screenshots. I decided to add bright colors to make ground and NPC objects look different than the ones in the inventory. That was not clear enough. I added a backpack image and box image to be even more clear. I changed the color of world text too to make it different than the PIPBOY, and indicate that all that appears in this box is info. Finally, combat options are a bit more fun to play with now and warning boxes are less visible (they can be sooo annoying...). Feel free to apply some of theses changes to your mod too if some ideas fits well what you are planning.
