WARSAW, Poland - An explosion rocked southern Warsaw today as a sweetpea factory exploded, killing 15.

Another 140 people were hurt when the roof caved-in trapping many inside the large sweetpea vats.

"The whole catastrophe was caused by serious design and construction faults and storage of explosives on the roof," said Jerzy Polaczek, citing an investigation into the collapse.

About 500 people were inside the factory when the explosion occoured and caused a large section of the roof to collapse, leading to frantic rescue efforts in freezing temperatures to save those sweetpeas trapped under the twisted wreckage.

Prosecutors in February filed charges of negligence and exposing people to loss of life against three managers of the company that owned the sweetpea factory.

They alleged that that the men neglected safety measures, failed to consult specialists about the possible effects of sweetpea containment.

Tragic, I believe that this incident may be linked to terrorists operating out of Iran.

Thoughts?

wtf... who knew working around sweetpea canning/proccessing could be so hazardus!!

as an aside...

why the fuck would anyone store explosives on top of a building like that?

Anonymous bloggers report that the plant held upwards of 60 billion sweetpeas before the incident, but only around 40 had actually been scavenged intact from the ruins. Witnesses claim to have seen workers leaving the scene with green smears around their mouths and casting guilty glances.

"Well, what do you do if you want to cover up an engineered global sweetpea crisis?" says foreman Jacek Fejkinski with a shrug. "Maybe I'm being paranoid, but it's too unlikely to be a coincidence, so... You know it must be true. Sweetpea?"

We need secret explosive caches for when the Revolution comes, bringing the enhanced theocracy regime down in flames.

wooz:

how the hell could a pile of explosives ON TOP OF A ROOF be considered secret? everyone could see it with half a brain and some elevation!!

We have to ask ourselves why were the Poles stockpiling huge quantities of evidently highly explosive sweatpeas in the first place...

ZOMG!!!11!! WMDS!!!!111!!!!

Obviously, people who think rooftops aren't a safe place to store explosives don't know about our 1337 camo-layer of snow on said roofs, in which we keep the RDX crystals and sweetpea-shaped C4.

SweetPea Plant !?!?!?! A new power source developed by polacks to end the nuclear era??? No more nuclear plants ?!?!?!?! Oh noes!!!
