FA2 party members ignore me

Dr Strangepants

First time out of the vault
It seems Cassidy and Sulik are getting lazy. This all started in Modoc. They just stand near the car or near the enterence of and party of the town I go to and won't follow me. I tried changing my distance from them, getting them to wait for me and then not wait. Nothing works.

Even if I heal Bessie, she just stands there too. Why does no one follow me?

Help!

This happened to a friend of mine. I've read in Per's Guide that it is caused by running from the Modoc wedding... you didn't do that, did you???

Hmm... could be a bug or some kind of program failure.
Do you know after what particular situation tis happened?
I recommend you to load a previous save and check if this still happens, if it doesn't continue to play from there on and try to avoid the situation that caused it before. If you don't have a recent save, you better start saving more often using different slots.

Arg. Guess I need to save more often. I didn't run from the wedding - I simply said I was a doctor and got out of it.

That's what he meant, so that would explain it. Fixes include going back and having the wedding or, if Vic is with you, going on to Vault City and speaking to a certain person if you didn't already.

BTW, how do you get to the wedding, I've played Fallout 2 again and again (sort like in the "Masochist" perk), passed the final several times and played it after finishing, doing every possible mission in the game, but I never could get to the "wedding" in Modoc. And I've tried.
Would someone please tell me how the heck to get there, who do I have to speak with and what the devil I have to say.
Sorry if I've gone off topic.

I have no idea about the following of NPCs. Only time that happened to me was when I accidentally left my wife in the desert. Poor babe..

Anyway, good stats for getting married are:
-High IN
-High CH
-High Speech

Whenever you talk to him/her, just be shy and don't fall for any of her 'seductions' (who wouldn't? ;)). Per example: She asks you to sit down next to her, you say you two really shouldn't do that sort of thing. That'll lead to the sex-scene. As far as standing in a blue spandex suit with a million guns on the floor and a woman standing in the other end of the room could be considered a sex scene :D. When her dad walks in, don't try to get out of it, he'll believe you if your stats in the said areas are high.

I loved what he said to me when I told him I was a doctor. "While you're here, I've been having these pains in my anus and I was wondering if you could take a look at it." ROFL

IN and Speech are at the highest, but CH is not. Maybe that's the reason. Still, are you sure you don't need the Sex Appeal perk too, because my character didn't had it, maybe that could be a reason too. Guess my character was not too pretty though.
Thanks anyway.

I think Charisma is the main stat, but I usually have high Intelligence anyway, so that might be it.

I suppose you could try using the mirrored shades and some other tricks if you need to raise your CH.
