Fallout 1 deathclaw problem

I have quite a big problem in Fallout concerning deathclaws, the thing is im stuck at the gunrunners fortress. I am a low level and cannot leave the area without getting killed by the deathclaws as soon as I enter the map that has them. i have gotten quite awhile without having an alternate save and would need to backtrack several hours worth of gameplay if I resumed an older save. So i was just wondering if there was any way to get out of the gunrunner fortress without dying horribly at the claws of the deathclaws using any method from glitches to cheats to completely legit ways of doing it.

I really hate asking questions on my first post but i really want to finish fallout 1/2 and not just have it be another game i have never completed.

Leave and return when you're of a higher level and/or have better equipment. Or what do you mean you cannot leave? Do they attack the instance you load your game? If not, you can go into combat mode and run away.

What level are you? And what weapons do you use?

As soon as you enter the area, press A to go into combat mode. Keep pressing A and start walking. That way, every time your round ends the Deathclaws haven't initiated combat yet, and combat ends. But because you immediately press A to start combat, they don't get a chance to start combat and become hostile. That should get you across the map.

Pressing A worked i can now continue my quests and you are my new favorite hero.
