Fallout 2 Car Problems

First time out of the vault
2 things are currently wrong with the car.

1. I have the Fuel Cell Regulator but every time I tell Smitty to install it he takes the money but not the part and has the same dialogue to install the part


2. I had Smitty install the Fuel Cell Controller and the car has disappeared (other than the trunk which is a bug I know about) and has never reappeared and I have yet to see it again.


so help would be lovely it i can be delivered
 
Do you have the bag? There's a known bug involving it; the game doesn't always 'see' items below it in your inventory and so things like that happen. Move the part above it and see if that works.

I think the disappearing car is another known issue without a great solution; searching for it on the forum should get you some advice.
 
I Can hardly get fallout 1 working on this peice of shit vista. But have you patched your game?
