Fallout 2 hangs up after having sex

Hey,

I have Fallout 2, the UK version, latest official patch (1.02e? something like that), with the children patch, and when I talk either Miria or Davin into you-know-what, after the screen goes dark, the background sounds go back to full volume (like when you're not talking), but the screen stays black. No response to controls, keyboard shortcuts, etc.

I also used a character editor (I'm playing F2 for the nth time, lost my save games every time, and as much as I love that game it just got boring at one point; besides, now I don't have to saveload every damn thievery and lockpicking :P).
I don't think that is the cause for the problem, as I've had no problems so far with the edited character (other than no perk choice showing up every few levels?).

The install is the biggest version, I'm running the game on win2k with all updates, and a geforce 3 card.
 
It's a known bug that official patch doesn't fix. If you really wan't to get some "free booty" you can fix it by using unofficial patch from SpellTrap. Bad thing is that you need to start a new game after applying this patch, cause your saves from official patch do not work.

Why do you wanna do that with David 'n' / or Miria? They are both sl*ts. Go get some booty from New Reno, The Den or Klamath. Anywhere else but them two.
 
You can get them in your party. But they both suck. Unless you use the Miria-mod

BTW, did you rememger to use a condom?

In game, the only place where the condoms are used is when sleeping with Mrs. Bishop in New Reno. If you don't have condoms in that scene, you get a little surprise in ending sequences.

In real life? Well, if you are a "Back-Door" man you maybe don't hafta use it. :wink:
