Fallout 2 one hander weapons chart

But isn't it a little... obvious? Knuckles, power fists, knives, cattle prods, crowbars, all kind of HtH stuff except for hammers are one-handed (where the ANIMATION is one-handed...), and also pistols, SMGs, well, generally all the stuff that looks one-handed, is one-handed (with two exceptions noted in above-mentioned walkthrough - the H&K G11 and H&K G11E). Imagine an one-handed Bozar or minigun or a two-handed Desert Eagle and you'll see what I mean ;)

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, I suppose grenadelike stuff is one-handed as well, ever tried to lob a rock or a flare overhead with two hands? :P

throwing is one handed indeed althro animation thing doesnt really matter, ive read somewhere that sawed off shotgun is only one-handed shotgun even while its using 2hand animation but it doesnt matter because normal shotgun works same way for me(its example, same % as pistol). energy weapons well ive read somewhere that plasma rifle wich is using2hand animation is also one handed but turbo plasma rifle aint! this is really really wierd and needs proper chart
 
You always find a lot of junk info on the Net; I definitely believe in what Per wrote in his guide. If the turbo plasma rifle was indeed an one-handed weapon despite its animation, I'm sure he would have noted that ;) Well, you can always look into the game files, or get a broken arm in the game itself (or with Falche) and try out different weapons - if they ain't work, they be two-hand!
 
you are correct i completly forgot that different weapons have their own hit chance wich lend me to false opinion

normal shotgun has very big to hit chance even with one hander perk vs heavy armored mobs while assault rifle chance aint high even without one hander perk

also ive been finghting lower level mobs whow have no armor so it was always high


about plasma rifle, that site is still on but i dont have link and i cant find it anywhere, it lists fallout1 weapon stats but also one hander info
 
The Sawed-Off Shotgun counts as a one-handed weapon, while the Louisville Slugger, H&K G11 and H&K G11E count as two-handed. This is not obvious from the animations used, so it might be good to know if you're using the One Hander trait.

That's the relevant quote from Per's FO2 guide. All other weapon handedness can be told from which animation they use.

Also, if you know something's a rifle, then you know it'll be two-handed; if you know something's an SMG, then one-handed. Except for the Tommy Gun, which IS an SMG but still uses the two-handed rifle animation thingy!
