Yup today is the day, folks. Fallout 2 will battle it out with none other than Diablo 2, TB vs RT, quality vs crap. Bring out the Mutant army, the Bos and the Chosen ones and let's beat Diablo 2's ass.... It's time for another Gamespy titlefight.

Well today hasn't happened yet in the States so that's why the battle hasn't commenced...

Gentlemen, its an honor to be here with you in this day. Maybe the longest day of this terrible battle. In the last battle against BG we saw the power of our community. Vote by Vote. Loop by Loop. Click by Click. Inch by inch we conquered our space in Gamespy. It was our victory and we can do it again.


I expect that the Title Fight! The Ultimate Gaming Grudge! is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of fallout legacy. Upon it depends the falloutism survival, and the long continuity of our modding community and the hope for fallout 3.

The whole diabolic fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties and so bear ourselves that, if the Fallouters and its community last for a hundred years, men will still say, This was their finest hour.

Does anyone have any idea what the odds are? I hear Diablo has quite a large following.
 
Okay, so it's the 16th of March here, but I can't find that title fight between FO2 and Diablo2. The only ones I can find are Zelda vs Myst and Grim Fandango vs Chrono Trigger. What am I doing wrong? I want to vote, gddmnt! :(

EDIT: oh, my mistake, I have to wait for the United States of America to get the f*** out of bed, right?

At this moment it doesn't matter how anyone of ya'll are hung.
Whether you're an "in-nie" or an "out-ie". Whether ya're a FO fanboy for PC "quality" role playing games, or a BG connoisseur of elvan diversity.
It is time to gather under the Big Tent of intense character development, and meaningful plot progression.

This is not a console versus PC issue.

Forgive this ploy, but consider this chain pull, if you lovers of BG2 wish to see a recognisably BG3, then ya'll need to vote for FO2. The older RPG relative that ya stopped sending Christmas cards to, and Photo-Shopped out of family picture in Stalinist zeal.

It is a time for quality of content, and a full spectrum of intense entertainment. Emotion and intellect, stately strategy and real time "twitch" reflexes, what ever floats ya're boat, demand "quality of content".

It is time to forget the platform and the genre, and vote for the content.

It is time to rally to FO2 as the present representative of all games worth playing.

I was going down the list of matchups and spotted Final Fantasy tactics.. doesent that sound a bit like fallout tactics? :lol:
And what time is the FO2 vs diablo one, it says the 16th.. which is today..

We are fighting diabolic forces. This clear case of possession shows the power of our enemy. It use diabolic tricks to challenge our community. Our only hope is to use the holy Ioups. This sacred weapon can be found at *beep* . May the macros be with you.

There is something I want you to remember. I don't want to get any reply saying that we have less votes then diablo 2 or we must hold our position. We are advancing constantly and we're not interested in holding onto anything except the enemy. We're going to hold onto him by the nose, and we're going to kick him in the ass. We're going to kick the hell out of him all the time, and we're going to go through him like the enclave over Arroyo.

Now, there's one thing that you men will be able to say when you get old and you may thank God for it. Thirty years from now when you're sitting around your virtual fireside with your grandson on your knee, and he asks you, "What you did during the gamespy's Title Fight! The Ultimate Gaming Grudge?" you won't have to say, "Well, I shoveled shit in (insert here your city)."
