Fallout 3 Full E3 Trailer

Things I didn't like:
Max payne slow motion
Lego body blocks (Orc/mutant at 2:22 is just freaking ridiculous)
character animation
running ghouls
overall textures, they look flat and lowres

Things I liked:
emmm
lunch box and bobblehead
"Junktown" and brahmin

BTW, Dogmeat looks like a walking coffee-table. I thought modern technologies allow you to draw better animals.

Cool, I'll mirror it on NMA.

Hope someone will have the energy to extract lots of screens

Hint: You can break Video's down into individual jpegs using Radgames Bink tool (http://www.radgametools.com/default.htm). A lot easier than screenshotting a trailer play through. I'd do it, but I have to hit the hay for work shortly.

*waves to Brother None

Anyhows I didn't like the walkthrough, but it seemed like it was just an excuse to show the guns. However I did like this trailer, esp the care paid to the 50s advert. Albeit it was another gunfest, it does look promising as does Dogmeat.

Wow, I thought that was a great trailer.

Elaborate. What is SO great about this trailer?

Because I thought it was shitty. Here's why:
- Called shots with grenades
- Mutants look nothing like previous Fallouts
- Fatman
- Fatman used at point blank range
- Exploding nuclear car
- Corny intro video.
- "Bacon and eggs!"
- Middle-class commercial to reserve a spot in the vault (Really?)
- Ghouls being made into mindless zombies that make rasping sounds
- Dogmeat getting special treatment as a NPC
- The magazine-at-the-end-of-the-barrel-shotgun
- Artwork (Is everything in an urban area? Show some fucking variety)

So, elaborate.

OMG I felt a real strange thing while watching this and the previous video.

Although I liked a few things, I really hated so many things that I'm really disappointed with what I just watched...

I even hated the sounds "imported" from Fallout 1 & 2 that are used to enter/exit and during V.A.T.S., they really felt like they don't belong in this game.

It's really a bitch to see my hopes and dreams, about the Fallout Universe, being crushed harder and harder as time goes by and Bethesda shows more bit of this game they decided to call "Fallout 3"!!!
Every time I think "This time they will show something that will change my mindset", they really do the opposite...

Edit: I'm downloading the HD version so I can watch it every time I need to throw up :x

Yeah, well, you know... that's just, like... your opinion, man. I just thought it was a good little trailer. Much better than the gameplay video. I think the intro was intentionally corny, so that didn't bother me. As for the zombie Ghouls, they're not really new to Fallout. There were zombie like Ghouls in random encounters and in Necropolis (some were even called "zombies"). Nuclear explosions at close range are ridiculous, I agree with that, but there isn't much you or I can do about it.

... I have nothing to say to you.

Wait, nevermind.

Try to steer clear of head trauma in the future.

I made a shitload of screens from the HD trailer. I will upload them in a few minutes.

/Edit: Or I can send them to you. Whatever you want to have.

Haha ok. I Just wanted to point that in your giddily exuberant attempt to find things wrong with the trailer you listed several things that were not only included in the original series but were a large part of what made it great.

One must surmise that you are nothing more than a giant bag of hot air.

Fallout 3 looks pretty dodgy to me, but so far nothing you've ever said on this forum (I've been lurking here for a long while) would suggest that your opinion on these matters are worth even the smallest amount of consideration.

Have a nice day.

So much for the World War 2 Soviet SMG PPSH converted into a shotgun being a uniqe item. God damn raiders toting them around... This is just retarded. If they are going be inspired by real weapons, god damn well change them more so they arent so easily recognizable.

I know, I know, minor issue, but it bugs me as a ww2 nerd for them to use such an iconic soviet weapon as a generic shotgun (in the wastes of the US).

Edit: Also, did anyone else feel that when the PC was reloading the shotgun in the slo-mo scene, it felt out of sync with the slowmo speed of the tumbling body parts?

The intro was corny - opinion. Sorry.
The vaults were not geared towards reserving spots for middle-class families (At least they weren't purchasable by them). There's no way. Each vault cost $635 billion dollars.
Ghouls are not zombies - Hell, even Set from Necropolis talked to you.
Lastly, Dogmeat was not a necessary companion in Fallout. In this game, he gets his own little spot by your side, while you can only have 1 human NPC.
