The recent news about Fallout 3 being developed at Bethesda and the fact that what Peter Hines have posted doesn't actually comfort us, someone started a Fallout 3 petition and here's what it's all about:<blockquote>We, the real Fallout fans, would like Bethesda to make Fallout 3 properly, i.e keep the key elements such as:

-Isometric view
-Turn based combat
-S.P.E.C.I.A.L system

and NOT make Fallout 3 into an FPS released on consoles. </blockquote>So git on over and sign....like now..

I never thought fans had an effect. But the poor sales of POS and Tactics show that, for a name like Fallout to sell, you've got to aim for the fans. So maybe this petition will do something.

There is a fallout curse as well, especially since Troika were outbid. That's terrible.
 
Tonight the Bethesda CEO will be visited by three Ghosts. The Ghost of Fallout Past, Fallout Present and Fallout Future. Hopefully he will see the light.

For a moment I hoped that it would be three Starcraft Ghosts, whose, well... will clean up.

Well yes, I made the petition simply because Bethesda claims that they listen to their fans. Who other than Fallout fans, would sign the petition? If they're not too stupid, the devs will at least notice it. 560 signatures already!
 
You left "multiple paths" out of the survey. Words I guarantee we'll be hearing though: Gritty, mature, dark humour because gosh darn, it's all the jokes that make Fallout so great.
 
I think the "multiple paths" feature is something they can make, since it was in Morrowind. But that's secondary, compared to the untouchable 3 that they want to remove from the game...

Petition is signed, so I got some headache from
the Morrowind Forums, some of the people
are making me wanna scream:
"Good that Beteshda does Fallout, I like action RPGs."

That's so sad

In the case of Interplay, we weren't. Bethesda keeps claiming they listen to their fans, and if they do, they'll care about the petition. Over 1000 signatures in less than a day is quite a feat, and they HAVE to care.
