Fallout 3 Q&A at Playstation Magazine

based on that whole interview. It almost seems like they know Fallout 3 won't be nearly as good as they hoped, and now they are spewing as much propaganda as they can to get potential customers.

I think they're just spewing propaganda because they know that the "journalists" they're spewing it to will lap it up and then ask "Please sir, can I have some more?" with a smile on their faces. This is Playstation Magazine we're talking about here. I'm sure it's a bastion of journalistic integrity.

The hype machine has been in overdrive for a while now. Take the mindset of your average gamer:

Oblivion was God's gift to the RPG genre - check
This game is being made by the same guys who made Oblivion - check
This game is set in a post-apocalyptic universe based on some old RPG that I've never played but other people say is good - check

That equals win in most peoples' minds. That's why I'm sure Fallout 3 will be a huge success, and the only people who'll criticize it is us heathens who actually played the original games.

well, usually journalists simply pretend that they did play the game, yet their comments about it are totally retarded and prove that they never did.

so in the end, i've grown to appreciate journalists that have the honnesty to admit they never played it.
