Brief Russian round-up (with help from Ausdoerrt), fleshed out with a Dutch review.

BestGamer, 9.2.
Fallout, such as it must be in the 21st Century - from the first person, with the outstanding drawing, the gripping subject, infinite [otygryshem] of role, unsurpassed black humor, by [retrofuturisticheskim] style and by the staggering on the beauty jazz compositions. Possibly, for someone Of fallout 3 it will prove to be the game of year. Prepare of for of the of future.
GamesLife, 9.
Game came out excellent. Bethesda Of softworks held in control its promises and made precisely that game, which the fans waited. Certainly, is observed “weapons unbalance”, game is more “[shuternaya]”, but all this of trifle. By the way, if you does not please game from the first person, always it is possible to make traditional Fallout - the form: from the third person. If you do not play into Fallout 3, then know: you passed one of the best projects of the outgoing year.
Absolute Games, 75%.
Unfortunately, basic subject not far left from Oblivion. The chain of linear commissions is pulled through the close bunkers, the caves, the tunnels of metro and street of Washington, where “unnecessary” passages are covered with the heaps of garbage. And although string intrigues (19-year hero, who grew in refuge 101, it searches for the run out father), scenario swiftly it is rolled up to the straight quoting Of fallout 2, the cheap enthusiasm and the dominance of [skriptovykh] scenes.
GameIT, 8/10.
Colleagues Black Of isle to on- large calculation gathered all fears, all horrors, all hitching posts, all conversations, all conjectures, all that it was possible only to think about the nuclear war in one game. But Bethesda simply copied their ideas, having added not the drop of new. Because fears and ideas they do not have. There is the desire to earn on [franshize].

“So the same is bad!” - will say someone. “No”, I will answer, this very well.

In end- ends, if not Bethesda, then who?
GamersNET, 9.5.
The missions frequently exist from meedere share and take best, however, what is time in seizure, but all the larger the voldoening if you a complete mission successfully weet to wind up. Because of this are possible the levellen in the beginning what slowly to go ensures, but it also that you want continue improve busy yourself increasingly further. Or success in your case goodly or malicious actions means that you can fill in to hartelust themselves. Fallout 3 really offer that possibility and can you weeks the street love.

Btw. Another review from translator?

Really picking up the pace, I should start a blog and help you finish this out. I'd write it in English, then babblefish it to russian, french, then back to English.

Random thing - I was thinking about getting x-com yesterday, now steam puts all of them on sale for $5. Mind reading asses.

IT WAZ SOOO AWESUMZ!!!!! WE WERE ATTACKED BY A SUPER-MUTANT, BUT WE PRESSED A BUTTON AND HIS HEAD ASPLODED!!!! THE SCREEN WAS SPLATTERED WITH BLOOD, AND THE HEAD WENT FLYING!!! AND THEY ALSO HAVE TWO-HEADED COWS AND YOU CAN ROB CAROVANES!!!!! 11 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (misspelling intentional)

Looks like the "10/10" FO3 are starting to become a joke everywhere lol.

It's sad though that a lot of people seem to accept "better FO3 than nothing" statement.

 It's funny because that's probably what a vast majority of Fallout 3 fans think. I feel like stereotyping Fallout 3 fans because they stereotype us.....

I remember asking this guy I knew why he loved Oblivion so much. It boiled down to him liking to collect things in the game. I fail to see any logic or fun behind this.

Oh, I can see how that's fun. For example, when I play BG2 I can spend hours shuffling my inventory around.

Now, the games that are ENTIRELY built around the premise, I will never understand.

I liked collecting unique things in Morrowind, but it was on the end of the game, and it was the only thing I could actually do. After that play, I didn't play the game again.

It happened to me only with this game...

When I found myself doing that I realized the game was done. I asked myself "Why?"

There is no point. Some people just don't have that little voice though.

I know there was no point, but I was bored and they made pretty a lot of cool items in this game (Oblivion was empty comparing to Morrowind).

Adter finishing Oblivion I had that little voice.

Damn, looks like my Polish roundup might not make it before Per hits 101.

Expect it for #99.

I noticed that the official homepage is still getting some reviews from here. For instance, they reposted the reviews from the last two Italian round-ups... or rather, all the ones with scores equivalent to 90% or more - sites that rate the game 88 get not reposted. I guess the "90% score minimum" rule doesn't end when the embargo is lifted. (This is funny not least because "some people" on "some board" have intimated that NMA's news coverage is screened.)

game is more “[shuternaya]”

It's funny how the word which originated from "shooter" ended up being untranslated.

On the other words in brackets:

- infinite [otygryshem] of role = deep (well, infinite) rpg element

- [retrofuturisticheskim] style = in a retro-future setting

- [skriptovykh] scenes = scripted scenes

- [franshize] = franchise

^ Yeah, thought the same thing.

The word the guy uses for "franchise" though is pretty much slang (if not a totally made-up word) used for comical effect.
