Glowbewohner from the german Fallout site, Supermutant, sends word that the Fallout 3 - Black Isle mod project has an update featuring a bunch of new screenshots which you can find here.

Thanks Glowbewohner!

EDIT: in addition, Glowbewohner posted a request on the Fan Fic forum for a logo for the project:

I want to ask if anybody here can make us a Logo for our Mod.
post it here or send me the picture by mail
webmaster@supermutant.de

Can someone give me any insight what this is about? I cannot read German, and I didn't see any "go to English" button.

Damn my german is rusty, basicly they want to pick up where BIS left off..I won't bother trying to translate the story, my german is soooooo rusty..

Maybe Glowbewohner will translate it? Or someone who is good in german?

EDIT: heh, Kaczor post was first :)

I've send the Whole Storry to Briosfreak! But now he is gone, i try to translate it again!

But my english is'nt very good!

Looks pretty good, hope theres an English version too.

Edit: Ahaha, lycos: "The post office-nuclear world changed itself."

The Black Isle Mod is a project by supermutant.de. We want to continue the story of Fallout, because IPLY has canceled Fallout 3. We have called the Mod Fallout 3- Black Isle Mod in memory of THE BLACK ISLE STUDIOS. It tells a story that happens 10years after Fallout 2 putting the player into the World he has left after Fallout 2.The postnuclear world has changed though...
Arroyo was rescued by the G.E.C.K and the villagers expanded with the former hostages from Vault 13 to a huge City.

Vault City and Gecko make an agreement. The occupants live more or less in harmony together. There is a boarder in the City an both parts have respect to this one. The Power of Reactor 5 rise very high. The inexhaustible Money of Vault City and the experience of the Gouls of Gecko make the reactor to one of the saftest and powerfull reactors worldwide.
In SanFrancisco, the Shi became a disagreements. The shi go separate ways. Lot’s of Shi went into the Land. Others stay in Frisco and the cultivate there rad-away plant. Frisco has no management. So the Brotherhood of Steel build there new Headquater in Frisco. STEEL CITY. The Shi cant do something against the Brotherhood.
Afte the disappearance of the Familys in New Reno, NewReno became very calm. The Jetties went into the wasteland. Many of them died because they got no more Jet. Jet became very expensive. Many of the emigrated Shi found a new home in Reno. The Shi researcht in Reno, so New Reno got a new face.
Many has changed in the Wasteland. The Vault Dweller must go again to safe the world from another enemy in the south.

We want to let end the Story of Fallout.Afte Fallout 2 there is the Time that a new era beginns.

I know i make a lot of mistakes. I hope you can fix it. Then i can post the english Story on supermutant.de!

THANKS

You guys wanted a x-lation? You've got it:

What is the "Fallout 3: The Black Isle Mod"?

The Black Isle Mod is a project of Supermutant.de. We would like to continue the the story of Fallout since Interplay has cancelled Fallout 3. We have named the mod "Fallout 3: The Black Isle Mod" in honor of Black Isle Studios. It picks up 10 years after the end of Fallout 2, and transports the player into the world as he or she left it. Excepting that the Post-Nuclear world has changed.

Arroyo was saved with the GECK and the villagers, along with the Vaultdwellers of Vault 13 who had been taken prisoner by the Enclave, have expanded it into a blossoming city. This city, although it maintains energetic trading relations with other cities, is quite introverted.

Vault City and Gecko signed an agreement and since then have lived more-or-less in harmony. Both sides give the border that runs through the city a wide berth, as though one spark, struck by fear or revulsion...

In addition to that, cutting edge procedures increased the output of Reactor 5 by several factors. The seemingly inexhaustible finances of Vault City and the priceless experience of the Ghouls combined to form an establishment, which in terms of safety and efficiency is absolutely peerless.

In San Francisco, discord among the followers of the Emperor shook the Shi society to its foundations. Many Shi wandered inland, while others stayed and undertook to cultivate their radiation resistant plants.

Since San Francisco was now leaderless, the Brotherhood of Steel seized the chance and built their new headquarters there. Steel City. The Shi were powerless to prevent this, and as a result only a few of them still live there. This even though those Shi still living there are doing quite well.

New Reno became quite peaceful with the disappearance of the families. The Jet-heads dispersed across the Wastes, or died in great numbers due to the fact that very little Jet was being produced and the prices quickly became astronomical. Many of the Shi came upon this place and settled. Some of them brought their knowledge in horticultural research and with it plants to grow, and so it came to pass that New Reno got a new face.

Much has changed, and THE Vaultdweller must gird himself one last time so as to restore order to the world.

After a long time we would like to bring the story to a close. After Fallout 2 it is time that a new era dawns. If the Vault Dweller brings peace or another Fallout to the Wasteland will depend on his actions...

Cheers,

OTB

German people are simple? ;)

No, simply...something. Forgot what I was about to say in the first place.

Mein Deutsche grammatik est verscheise. Comes from knowing too many other related languages. It all gets mixed up in the noggin'

Agh, Deutsche Leute sind einfach...einfach...ah fuck it.

Tja, aber ich bin nicht ,,deutsche Leute", sondern nur ein halb-deutscher Bastard!

Well done.

Vielen Dank/Arigato Goziemashta/Thank you very much.

Be that as it may. How many languages to you speak/read/write, Kharn?

Hitler war ein halb-deutscher Bastard also.

Woops

Just kidding, you know I lub you. Mein beste Freund sind ein halb-deutscher Bastard, und er sind sehr freundlich. Und intelligent.

Y'know, my "to be"'s are starting to annoy me. No more sentences with ANY FORM OF TO BE, dammit.

I speak and write English and Dutch fluently.

I speak and write hacked-up Spanish and German.

I can understand German, Spanish and French, though only if articulated well and spoken slowly (which no German, Spanish or French people ever do)

I can read English, Dutch, Spanish, German and French. Technically, I'm also lettered in Latin and Hellenic (Attic, really) Greek, but I can't get through one sentence of that without my dictionary, and usually with a grammatica-booklet is necessary too

Uh...hopefully not carnally...or even semi-carnally, for that matter. (Cyrill Conelly?!)

OTB politely ignores Kharns butchered German grammar.

Kharn extolls his virtues as a linguist.

That's pretty impressive, actually. (No sarcasm there. At all.) For me it's only English, German (the latter is getting more rusty than I'd like it to, but that's the price of living in an area where "bi-lingual" is assumed to mean English/Spanish), a smattering of Latin, and various pidgin varieties of this and that from travelling.

Glowbewohner: Wenn Ihnen meine uebersetzung gefaellt, wuerde ich nichts dagegen haben wenn Sie den Text auf Ihrer Webseite verwenden wuerden. :)

(Everyone now has permission to mock my very formal, perhaps even antiquated German, which probably sounds like a bizarre mixture of Karl Mai and Goethe.)
