The "Fallout haiku" thread comes in 20 pages now. I think a good idea would be to make a Fallout haiku contest, on the rules similar to what I wrote in that thread:
a) correspondence with the topic (0-5 depending on how much people go along with the topic set) - the matter of each judge's opinion;
b) originality - (0-5 points) - again, up to each judge.
As you can see, there are 10 points to be gained from each judge. The highest and the lowest score would be discarded, just like in ski jumping, and for the same reason as there. Whoever gets the most point overall (for all haikus), wins. Simple.
That's not all the rules, obviously, but I made something like a general picture for you to see if you like it. If you do, and there's enough people to participate, I'll work some more detailed rules out.
So, what do you say? If you're into it, post it here. Let's rock it.
I'd choose the committee (of 5) before the contest, 10 topics, and two weeks to write the haikus) otherwise it's the same as in the quote. People would receive points for:Every participant would receive a few topics (same for everyone), a deadline until which to post them, and then a committee would been chosen (or prior to the whole thing) to judge them. The winner could receive an eblem for their signature or something, maybe a special title under their nick. Should there be draw, next (smaller) set of topics would be given, and so on.
