Fallout house

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
How come I can, as a not very skilled 3d artist, do this on my spare time without pay and just for the hell of it when Bethesda Softworks can't even make something that looks like Fallout's original style?

It's not textured, it's not really high-quality, BUT IT'S FUCKING ACCURATE!

Maybe because it's a new Fallout?

Or maybe because of differences in architectural styles between East and West coast?

Okay. Add texture. make a few character models and start working on your own Van Buren please.
Heh.

Seriously tho', you're right.
Altho' the buildings in Fallout 3 have some art deco it's not the same in most senses.

Do you really think that all houses in the Fallout setting have the same head sculpture?

No, but they had a distinct arcitechture style.
I just replicated one of the designs from the original Fo, and to be honest, I'd rather see just replicated designs from the originals than all the crap they've put together at Bethsoft...

Maybe when the kit is out you could apply those designs into a F3 mod. Not sure if it would be tedious, but I'm guessing buildings in F3 are just copy and paste, so you just need to replace a few main models with yours. I think.

I'd rather start modding on Van Buren or even on a fresh engine before I touch that piece of shit....

That's the spirit, Kahgan.

Love the building, btw. Very Van Buren.

God, that looks like shit. I'm sorry, but wow. You could at least have UV-textured the faces to not make them look like they were made in a freeware version of 3ds Max, and ray-casted in 1973.

*Earns party-pooper achievement*

Really, I know it's not high quality, but frankly, if you take of the textures of just about any low-poly model it'll look like shit.
