Bloody silly question: WHO OWNS RIGHTS ON FALLOUT UNIVERSE?

Bethesda Softworks owns the right to the next Fallout games. You can find more information by just browsing these forums a bit. Particularly the "Fallout 3 Suggestions and Ideas" forum.

The answer could be more complicated if it's specifically about the universe and not just (computer) games with that setting. I would guess that the answer is simply "Interplay" though.

Interplay owns all the rights, but sold the rights to make the next Fallout games to Bethesda. That's all.

usually if you ask a company if you can make a low-budget fanfilm they will allow you to for free or for a small fee. you should atleast contact them and ask.

I think it should be legal to use copyrighted materials in non-profit projects, but my dad (a lawyer) says there's a trouble with it - a company might just sue you for it.

So you did a good move docholyday - better safe than sorry.
