Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition announced

Yes,I think he meant the frame rate.Lag is a multiplayer term that is only used when you see others teleport(or "jump")while they are moving.

Just curious if anyone knows what the servers actually do in interacting with your local copy of whatever game it is, I'd always thought steam was a matchmaking service for multi-player games and an outlet for buying single player games. Now that I just recently had my steam account hacked and been unable to get back into it, am I going to have to buy another copy if it's linked to my old steam account?

Just contact customer service. Give them your account name, email ad and a CD Key of a product you bought with Steamworks and they should be able to reactivate it.

Steam is very stringent DRM. If a Steamworks game is activated for one account, that's it, it can no longer be played on anything except that account.

Thanks for the quick reply Mendacious. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. Update on the previous post, I don't think the account was hacked at this point I had assumed such given steam recently had that forum hack but now don't think so. I just migrated to a new box and I set that account so long ago I think just forgot the password. I think the same resolution will work though. Again, I'll give it a shot wish me luck and thanks man!

Any game with lots of DLC like that is something I wait for the "comprehensive" edition to come out before buying it. I'll get it and be happy to finally try NV. In fact although I own the F3 GOTY edition I haven't even played it yet.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Ya, it's funny you mention it I have FO3 + the DLC and am only about half way through it. My game literally just stopped working, I still have the save files and will pick it up when time permits on my new box but I'm in no hurry either I'll probably be start FO:NV when Fallout 4 comes out!
