Pshaw, everyone knows that old games are awful. Graphics keep getting better thus, ipso facto, games are getting better.

greatatlantic said:Isn't PC Gamer the one that gave Bloodlines a terrible review, and ripped it for not being Half Life 3? Yeah, I think that mag is going bye bye soon.
Kotario said:Well, I've never paid for a PC Gamer, and I'm not going to start now (I refuse to so much as read one again). Their quality hasn't increased during the years, and it was dismal from my first experience. I remember the unbelievably hype and praise they heaped on Black & White, and then doing their readers a disservice with a dishonest, rose-tinted review.
Last year, when I purchased a game, I was offered three free issues. I decided that it might be worth another try, after all, the staff had most likely changed. The free issues I received were no better, and after the three issues they sent me a bill for a year's subscription. Of course I threw it away. A month later, they sent me a letter stating that they had contracted a debt collection agency on behalf of my outstanding bill with them.
After such tactics, I refuse to so much as read their magazine again.

Perhaps because they thought it was the best of the three?greatatlantic said:3. Sid Meier's Civilization II- Hmmm... Go with the original or the latest, why II?
In your opinion. I enjoyed Diablo. As did many others. It wasn't a |"deep" game, or complex. But I don't recall it ever pretending to be.6. Diablo- single handedly created a genre that has yet to produce one worthwhile game. GREAT pick!
...and this matters? The game was exponentially better on PC. If you dislike the game, then fine - say that. I have no problem with people disliking a game (there are plenty of reasons with this one) but at least be honest about it. The fact that a game is a port in no way affects how good it was, or the affect it had on later games.12. Grand Theft Auto 3 - ughh, port.
Thinking man's? Get over yourself.27. Deus Ex - Good pick, I thinking man's first person shooter that has yet to be done again. Bloodlines comes close, but goes a different direction.
Okay then. There are some of my select opinions, opinions that are open to refutation and disagreement.
