Fallout Tactics plasma projectile in Fallout 2

It Wandered In From the Wastes
On in the "files" section I found a download for the Fallout Tactics plasma projectile converted to work in regular Fallout/Fallout 2. But, the filenames of the bitmaps in the zip file ("FOTplsma...") make it clear that this is just something intended for use for modders, and not actually something I can just straight install into Fallout 2. Does anyone know how I could get this to work in Fallout 2?

I'm planning on playing Fallout 2 in a few weeks (I loved and finished Fallout 1, but never quite finished Fallout 2, and Fallout 3 has rekindled my interest!), with the Fallout 2 restoration project, but I was thinking it might be cool to be able to play with a slightly funkier looking plasma projectile.

Plasma rifle was my favourite weapon in old Fallout 1, and while it isn't as awesome in Fallout 2 chances are I'll still use the thing simply cause I love the melt-into-goo effect. :)

I'm pretty sure that it's a simple graphic replacement but I'm not certain if the uploaded projectile is finished and ready for the game or not.

I think its used with the Enviromental Armor you can find in the EPA with the RP. When you wear that thing you will use the FOT weapons and firing animation

FO2 projectiles art is in the master.dat>art>misc folder IIRC.

The game uses FRM's for the projectiles (animated BMP's)
so i'm sure it would be possible to convert FOT projectlies. If there are only BMP's, that probably means FOT uses static projectile art, which will still work in FO2.

You just need to take the BMP's or whatever art file FOT uses and convert it into a .FRM format using 'Frameanimator'. Then just find the correct name of the plasma projectile in the master.dat and then rename your new .FRM to that name and copy it into the data>art>misc folder in your FO2 folder.

Hey i just made new projectiles for RP 1.3 for alien blaster and the solar vesenger and the Phjazer. When you will to use one exsisting one ist jsut replace frms in misc directory. (not really a mod^^) When you will use a new one you need to make new pro files and use an wepon ediorl ike cubik's one.
