What I wanna see is a fallout movie, I've posted on here before about it, when I had a dream, and I was at the theatre and I saw a preview for a fallout movie, and it was action packed, and upbeat, and scary, and amusing, and cool..

Whos all for it?:P
we'll produce our own:)

Personally I'd like a fallout anime series.

I understand that:) but I trust my dreams, hehe
It would have mutants, and the overseer, and guns, and post apocolism/other made up terms/ and the master and explosions and fire fighting and a good plot and famous actors and kinky sex scenes making it virtually unsuitable for anyone under teh age of 18 and all sorta cool stuff related to fallout summed up in a 2 hour flick:)
any questions? lol

That would just ruin the whole Fallout-ish atmosphere...

I know I wouldn't watch any anime fallout series.

I'd rather just see a movie like Mad Max.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Jun-14-00 AT 09:24PM (GMT)[p]FO the movie would kick! Ahhhhhh... I could star as a psycho killer Mercenary/Bounty Hunter with the Kamikaze and Bloody Mess traits. Charge about 100 Enclave Guards or Super Mutants with nothing but a Leather Jacket, a Combat Knife, and a 10 mm SMG. And win too...

****If you make it too similar to the game then you just killed it****

****If they made a movie it would be based on Fallout 1, I'd like to get my mind off the sequel, which wasnt really so great in terms of atmosphere,

Fallout 1 had a post apocolyptic atmosphere, but in fallout 2, 80 more years after the way it has grown far less post apocolyptic.****

And I know, you're probably just being a funny guy:P

RE: WATCH THE LANGUAGE BUDDY!

I agree.... F1 had a *major* atmosphere... the water chip race with time, the mutants, the pathetic remains of the civilisation trying to make a new start out the the burnt-out wreckages of their old hometowns, the army of 9-ft mutants on a warpath... at some points, the game just scared the willies out of me.

Fallout 2 was more simply along the lines of "travelling along the wasteland and having a blast". Technically more advanced, yes. Bigger? Sure! Funnier? You bet!! But, is it better... I'm not sure. I think I'd still have a hard time choosing between the two.

Yeesh... I went completely off topic.

RE: WATCH THE LANGUAGE BUDDY!

I *loved* the plot for Fallout 1.. how you gradually figure out things.. it's like a soap opera.. how Grey became the Master, and ect.

But I like the options in Fallout 2.. like the sex (gotta love that), the marriage (though it sucks), the options, the various carrers (porn star)..

Maybe it should be a mix between the two. That would KICK ASS!

A multiplayer fallout game would kick ass too, but there's probably gonna be some pricks who ruin the game for you. >:|

Ahh... At last people with taste...

Fallout 1 was 60% dark satire and very pessimistic. Propaganda language from Cold War era, mutants and raiders from pulp fiction and comics, Brotherhood of Steel-a relief for gamer overwhelmed by apocalyptic visions, a hope for humanity... And, of course, all sorts of references to everything post-apocalyptic. That's why the name Fallout (although it ended many years before action began) is more suitable for the game.

Fallout 2 - <sigh>... Lotz of humor, lotz of sexxx, lotz of gunz... Very hip and very hop. Weapons don't look rusty and time-beaten anymore - no, they're shiny and colorful. All that reminds about nuclear war is scorched wasteland where California once was. All other reminders are too slim and chaotic to create the brilliant atmosphere of the first Fallout. Enclave? An introduction of a powerful pre-war community is great, but, unfortunatelly, expected, and dealing with it takes too much of game time. Instead it should've been made as a secret town.

You want more? Tell me, and I'll bash F2 more. Join me, and we'll bash it together ;-)

dont forget The Postman
that was very post apocolypse style,

and waterworld, sorta.....:P

But I want them to make one with the fallout plot:P
so all them growed ups know we arent just rotting our brains out playing video games, but are indulging ourselves in classical literature, but in a more technologically advanced way.

RE: WATCH THE LANGUAGE BUDDY!

I have to agree a mix of Fallout 1's plot and Fallout 2's attitude would make for great gaming. And I would have to have my car, of course. I think the car was the best addition in the game.(After you patched it. Does "where is my $%^$ing trunk!" ring a bell?)

well, actually I enjoyed fallout 1's attitude better, the added inuendo just got me horny in the middle of playing the game:), Although i liked some of the refinements on the engine for the second one. But they shouldnt have changed the look of the interface.

Nah, I found it added to the atmosphere, walking around on foot, then there was the car dealership encounter, heh. besdies, in the first one you moved faster on foot, so it didnt really make much of a difference for travel time between the two.

Well

For me it was the car that went missing, the trunk was always there.:)

I would like to note that anyone who would sit through an entire screening of The Postman or Waterworld has got too much time on their hands or are easily amused. Hell, I fell asleep during Waterworld. Though I was dragged to it by a friend, I saw Titanic and didn't mind a bit. True, I was half-drunk off my ass, but that's beside the point.

RE: Fallout The Movie, AKA....

Call me a hypocrite, or maybe it's just because I'm female (oh god, women are gonna hate me for saying that).. but I didn't like Mad Max that much. Sure, it was a cool atmosphere. But that half transvestite guy? I mean.. hm. He ruined a bit.

Also, I didn't see much of a plot.

Back on topic, the only thing I'd take from fallout two and put in fallout one was the sex. So sue me, I may be female but I have the mind of a male. ;)

F1 was a lot more fun to play because, again, as people mentioned, the atmosphere. I mean, when I went to the glow, it freaked me out. It was wonderful.

heh.

RE: Fallout The Movie, AKA....

About Mad Max:

The first one: I only saw it once and I don't remember much. Just that it was so damn depressing I made a vow never to see it again.

MM2: It was god-DAMN good! Not merely because of the atmosphere, altough it played a major part, but because of the vision how the life would be if all the foundations were wiped out. Gangs, wilderness, the fact that there were hardly any guns whatsoever, yet the fact that some tiny fragment of civilisation managed to survive and hold on... one of the best movies I've seen.

MM3: Completely different from the both. Not bad, mind you, but so completely different it almost doesn't belong in the trilogy. Too.... Holywood like. Still worth a watch, though.

RE: Fallout The Movie, AKA....

My ex left MM2 (Road Warrior) at my house. I've never wanted to watch it. Never even thought about it. That's how much I didn't like Mad Max.

It was boring.
