What's your favourite location in the Fallout games. Where do you love to hang out... or hunt.

I always love those abandoned bases. Like The Glow, SAD and the Toxic Caves Vault-like thingy.

I really like hanging out in the Khans in fallout1..in Fallout2 I usually kill all the mercs in the merc base and hang out there, plus I store all my stash down there and go out on varius raiding parties....

I always liked Junktown most. The post-apoc feeling is just awesome.
The Hub has a great atmosphere as well. In FO 2 I hang around in Reno a lot, do a bit of gambling, become a box champion, a porn star... :)

Oh yeah I love Junktown, every time I go there in Fallout and the opening design is awesome. New Reno was also really freakin cool, I would have appreciated it, if the main crime bosses had prerendered talking heads though.

Fallout: Exactly when you are talking to the men who guard BoS underground base entrance , that's the sweetest place. Sense of security overwhelms.

Fallout 2: The Cathedral & dead cities. Cathedral was such an eerie and dark place, pretty much perfect with atmosphere. Random dead cities were even better, claustrophobic music, beasts lurking. I always tried to just run out of dead city encounters not because they were too tough, but because it's atmosphere was claustrophobic.

Junktown- As mentioned before, most post-apocalyptic (I remember the first area was used in the demo as Scrapheap, right?)

Old military installations (Military Base, Glow, etc)- Nicely filled in parts of the backstory

Necropolis- I though it was one of the most atmospheric areas in the game

Yup, I've still got that demo cd in a pile of cd's lying somewhere behind me. It was so friggin cool. Too bad they kinda changed the situation in Junktown. I just loved that fight between those two gangs.

My favorite area in Fallout 2 is the Sierra Army Depot. I can't describe the overwhelming threat I felt from looking at all those corpses for the first time and those turrets really freaked me out. I then remember charging bravely forward with my brave comrades Vic, Sulik and Cassidy only to be turned into rad-filled borscht after two rounds.

Fallout 1? Mmmh, thats a toughie but Junktown comes to mind. Where I gained my everloving Dogmeat and where I was introduced to Fallout's open-endedness.

Fallout 1:
Hmm...I'm not quite sure, but The Hub and Junktown are places i like, not sure if it's my fav though.
Fallout 2:
That would have to be the Military base. The destroyed base really gave me the creeps first time i managed to enter it...

FO1: Necropilis, very atmospheric and cool. I liked the idea of it becoming a center of technelogical trade if you got the good ending for it.

FO2: Modoc, as i think it captured the setting perfectly.

I especially like those stories (or rather the remnants of them) you find in places like that. You find a charred body with a holodisc in it; the holodisc contains a log or a journal of the guy and let's you peak behind what happened to the place. Neat!

F1: The raiders place where you save Tandi. Dogmeat kicked SO much ass there.

F2: Klamath. I used to live around there and I've always liked homely small town like that which aren't spread-out but aren't huge.

F1: The Brotherhood of Steel Bunker.

Cmd> Use toliet.
"Toliet. If you had some sort of wierd toliet fetish, this would be the god of all toliets."

Bwahaha.

F2: Navarro. For some reason, I was always attracted to that "military" feel in Navarro. I actually stood in my post for three days before realizing that nothing would happen.

Dark Legacy

Junktown in Fallout 1. Reminds me of the Road Warrior quite a bit. Not much to do there except kill Gizmo and Killian, but the town itself is really cool.

Junktown hands down. Honestly, I feel that its the best area in any game to date.

Mohrg

fallout 1-junktown i like gambling heh i always waste all my money
fallout 2-new reno gambling rules my character is a super gambler
