FOT Issue: Game blurs when scrolling /up/

First time out of the vault
Hello all -
Tactics runs just fine for me except that the ground tiles replicate and blur when scrolling upward with the arrow keys or mouse. The toolbar remains clear, and when scrolling any other direction it's fine. I can scroll to one side of the blurred tiles and then back and it clears it up.

It's certainly still playable, but it does give me a headache after a while, and is mildly annoying. Just wondering if anybody has any ideas of what might be wrong.

I'm running Tactics on my Intel-chip Macbook thru Parallels, which allows me to run Windows XP.
Dual core 2.16 Ghz
2 gigs RAM
64 megs VRAM

Running Tactics at 800x600 res with 32-bit color, though I've tried it at 16-bit color and the problem is the same.

Thanks in advance!

That's the best response I've gotten on a forum in a long time ;-)

Thank you for the help and for the smile.

It seems that you need even the most basic of graphics cards. I dunno what you can do for that on a macbook. :(

Edit: What happens if you run the game windowed also? Right click the shortcut to the game, hit properties, and in thetarget line add -w to the path.

It will look something like this
"C:\Program Files (x86)\14 Degrees East\Fallout Tactics\BOS.exe" -w

I just decided to pick up this game again, and I'm also running into this problem, which is odd, since it ran perfectly fine the last time I installed it on this system last December.

The problem is exactly as he describes. It obviously has something to do with the software, since it worked fine for me before.

The problem seems to occur whenever the screen scrolls up, for any reason.

I think that it has something to do with the screen redraw, but as to what can be done about it, I don't know.
