First time out of the vault
In turn mode, the more AP you have, the more action you can do.But what will high AP do in CTB mode? You may shoot one time more than others. Then, when your AP is used up,your fire rate is no different from those whose AP is lower than yours,at least I think so.
So,what will it do?Will high AP make your AP regenrate faster?

That's what the manual says. Whether it works or not, or what the different rate is I wouldn't know. Stick to ITB or STB at least then it's you playing the game and not the computer.

No, no, no... play ctb! Its way better and more challenging!

If there was no ctb on fallout tactics i would have snapped the cds by now...

CTB should be renamed NTR, 'No tactics required' the only challenge is to stop your squad from getting in each others way. I can't believe I played the whole campaign through in CTB. Another stupid compromise introduced for the multiplayer crowd.

*looks at you funny* Whatever floats your boat... I sure the hell know that ctb is more harder and is way more tactical! Your 'NTR' concept is total bullshit and should never have been posted, because its totally irrelevant of how ctb actually is...

There is nothing tactical about CTB, just walk your squad into the middle of the map (don't bother with stances and set everyone to aggressive) and watch the game play itself with minimal help from you. Your squad is more likely to die from friendly fire than anything else.

I played in CTB until playing JA2 showed me the error of my ways, if only they had encorporated some of the elements of JA2 (or just some basic tactical elements full stop) rather than wasted their time with the bastard hybrid that is CTB.

............What a argument:-)
Hmmm..I prefer CTB because turn mode cost a lot of time on waiting, which I hate.

It's said that it's impossible to finish the campaign under very hard with CTB mode.Though it may be caused by the high damage and call shot rather than the AI's tactic. But you may need more tactics to pass through.I think you have tried it.But I don't know what you feel of it.Don't tell me it 's a piece of cake....:-)

I was going to suggest that you track down JA2 to see how it should of been done, but with up to 18 mercs to control (in TB only) I'd think you'd have a fit.

I've never tried the final levels in CTB on Insane, I wouldn't be suprised though if it was unbeatable since CTB is so badly done. CTB is like Dungeon Siege more of a game you watch than play.

If that's the best defence of CTB you can come up with then I think it's time to lock this. Especially since the original question was answered in the manual.
