Galciv 2

I look forward to the day when a non-2d strategy map is created for space strat games. Why has it taken so long to do?

GalCiv was great, though kind of repetitive due to having to be human, in my opinion.

MoO 2 was also great, but I disliked the "I JUST DEVELOPED DOOMSTARS! Ohbutwaityouhavefiftyofthemandmytitansareuseless."

Hopefully it lives up to its expectations, and then it will be a great game...

I didn't really like Galactic Civilizations; it was like a drier version of MOO2, and it had the blatantly cheating "minor" civilizations that would pop up and have everything you had +100. I want to support them because there are way too few independent game makers, but the first one frustrated me enough that I don't think I could bring myself to even try a demo of GalCiv2.

Ascendancy has that, but it doesn't work all that well, imo.

I'm really looking forward to GC2 though, I liked the first one very much, and this one looks to be quite a bit better.

Montez pretty much nailed my opinion about Galactic Civilizations. It was a shame, and vexing that the game failed to live up to what I had heard. As things stand, I'm not very enthusiastic about Galactic Civilizations II.
