Games that you gave an 2nd look.

It Wandered In From the Wastes
Ok, I was one of those first people who bought Two Worlds. (ok can laugh at me.) Yes, it was crappy!! After two days I turned my 360 copy for credit. Then a month ago, the new Epic edition came out for the PC. I has two expansion packs and all the patches. Also note that Epic Edition was only $20 dollars. It's a cheaper risk that I decided to take.

I bought the game because I needed an RPG for the computer to last me till Fallout 3 or the new Witcher special edition comes out and my fiancee is currently stealing my 360 to play Viva Pinata: TIP. It's a good game now, so I recommend those who would like to try it out though and waste 70-100 hours of game play. Also note. This game is much better than Gothic III and i'm a huge fan of Gothic III. (Damn you JoWood! You call can burn in hell.)

I wish they made a patch to fix the horrible voice acting and script. Every time a NPC or my character speaks. I feel like I'm watching Shakespeare.

You've played through gothic/2 right? If not, you should definitely pick them up since they kick the dirt out of G3.

Yep played both. I am still looking for a copy of "Night of the Raven" expansion. (That is not in German.)

Starcraft. I recongnized the potential of the story from day 1, but simply couldn't handle the brainless spam of Zerg. The truth, though, was that by time I first played, I wasn't a great RTS player, so I quit long before finishing.

After playing Dawn of War, thought, I finally became an ass-kicker in RTS games, so I came back to Starcraft and employed some tactics that I never thought about before. The game is still brainless Zerg spam to some extent, but not as much as before.

But really, DoW is supreme :D

Son, I know exactly what it is to have a gamer fiancee! It's kind of a win-lose situation, and it wil be boosted once you marry her (gamer wife FTW!).

Win because they understand us, both in the sense that they don't yell at us (they actually love that we play instead of hanging out with friends'n beers), and in the sense that they know what the hell does it mean to kill a frakkin' Deathclaw with 3 shots in the eye.

Lose because they steal either the PC or the console - you should thank God she's stealing the console, so you can browse NMA

There's only one game I can remember giving a second look, and that Mortal Kombat on the PC back in 1994. I tried getting somewhere in it on the first go, but I couldn't figure out anything except the basic moves so I gave it up. A few weeks later I found a partial list of the special moves, and then I gave it another go.

That go ended in me eventually completing the game with all 7 characters, and also winning the game after having fought (and won) Reptile, which was a secret character in the first game. I haven't touched the game since.
