general q regarding loading world spaces

First time out of the vault
is it possible to load different westland world space
based on a trigger or a variable ?

for example create 3 new spaces someplace1, someplace2, someplace3 instead of a existing wasteland space
and load the relevant 1 based on some criteria ?

ok

i think i found a way to do this that i want to try

any 1 know how can i duplicate cells other then interiors.

sure is. just script the loading device as an activator. (ie, a door) then just move the character into the appropriate world space (ie, *region*) according to what the script decides.

As far as the ENTIRE world space, no, you only get one of those - that's just how the engine works. But the world space itself can be very, very, VERY large. You can -easily- have a dozen different fallout 3 wasteland sized world maps in the same world space with no visible connection to each other. Keep in mind, you may need to do some hot-editing with FOSE functions to the game's INI to make this "pseudo-multiple" world space thing work.

Also depending how 'large' your world space is going to be, you may be better off just using large-scale interior cells with a skydome. Most of the downtown DC areas are actually interior cells with a skydome, for instance.

loading device? u mean like a door if so this the solution i settled on

something in the spirit of the town spaces, ill create a scripted trigger/door to teleport to the appropriate version of the space i want.

my problem with that is that the towns has their exteriors or in other words 'what can see from the outside' in the westland category and for easier management their "interiors" in separate category.

the interiors and the exteriors dont look a like not the same size and usually walled up...

which is a problem for me because i want them to look a like.
to preserve the land topology, the clutter and not to have to put basic object twice on each cell

but as i said for me the duplicate function only worked with the interior spaces :(

any ideas ?

p.s. as to my original idea, during gameplay anyway to change link a map cell to a different cell? for example to change the cell at location 0,0 to load 0000000A cell instead of 00000000B cell ?
and 'hot-editing with FOSE functions' ??

thanks for your help :)
