Ghost Recon Advanced Warfigher 2

It Wandered In From the Wastes
I REALY wanted to buy the game, so i'm asking:
Anyone played it?
Is it good?
Hardware and Software requirements
What weapons?
The history is good as GRAW1?

God, i realy loved GRAW1... My favorite FPS. 8-)

I played on Xbox 360 and I can answer the following:

Is it good?

BRILLIANT! The storyline is as good as GRAW1, and makes for an interesting sequel.

What weapons?

Much the same as the first one, but there are more options of where you'd like to pick up weapons as well as change weapons mid-game through the use of the "mule". Honestly though, it has been years (almost) since I last played GRAW1, and can't remember the weapons that well. I won't go back to GRAW1 after 2 though, it is that much better.

The history is good as GRAW1?

Yeah, it is good, but the game doesn't go for long enough to really extend the GRAW story...

I used to (I guess I do still?) play it competitively on PC, a lot of fun, but nobody much plays it anymore.

It is the most recent decent tactical shooter I've played, as far as multiplayer goes (provided it's set for one spawn per round.)

Storyline is Tom Clancy shit, as usual. Really enjoyed the gameplay, though. They kind of fixed everything that was messed up in GRAW 1, AI, mechanics, and so on. Really, not you, but to anyone, don't bother getting GRAW 1 if you can get GRAW 2 right away. It's not as frustrating.

Then again, I hear the PC version is meh, since it's just a console port, basically.

a ATI 9600/ ~830 ram can run it or my machine is to old?
Try this. You want a machine well over minimum though, my pc was around minimum specs and I could play the game okay for the first 3 missions, but the fourth just slowed right down. They did release a patch to fix freezing issues IIRC, but even after upgrading it didn't always run smooth.

The game seriously pissed me off though, it only allows quick saves and checkpoint saves. I was a third of the way through the final mission when I run out of ammo for my favoured weapon, no one else was carrying anything similar so I went to the main menu and started the mission briefing again so I could look at the load outs to see if another weapon would be better. Nothing struck me as worth having to start the mission again so I went to load my last save and all the quick saves and checkpoints from that mission had been deleted. So I had to do it all again anyway.

The pc version is a totally different game, same story but it isn't a console port. I picked the 360 version up cheap in the New Year sales, the maps, objectives, weapons, cross com/tactical map and gameplay are totally different.

GRAW

I played GRAW 2 in a friends house and WOW! Its REALY better than GRAW 1.... New weapons, various teammates, useable fix-mgs and pickupable enemy weapons.... Realy looking forward to buy it, but in brazil, original games prices are way too expensive...
Also, i liked the history of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and GRAW1. Both surprised me in the end.

I don't believe there's a third person mode on PC, so it's not really "switching"...
