change the font. Times new roman is pretty boring to use for everything.
 
I was thinking of making menu's backgrounds a dark green, and fonts on the menus- a little green. There will be colors, but they will not be saturated - hey, future is bleak, streets are littered with remains, disease and hunger thrives, people eat rats and die from ingested radioactive particles, bandits roam the wilderness... You want me to paint that in jolly colors? :-)

As for TNR - will definitely change, as soon as I will determine which fonts are used by most browsers. I had my eye set on Impact and System, maybe another.

Btw it escaped me this in the spell check "2024: Military forces of US and NATO military forces" ; o.k. my english is awfull so i maybe wrong , but wasn`t it supposed to be "military forces from both US and Nato" or "US and Nato military forces", or something like this?
I think the colours are great, i agree that it needs other fonts.

Ah, yes, I believe it is now the longest thread on General Discussion forum (though not because a lot of people were interested in actual spelling and grammar, which is different from 'd.t.a.miniguns').

New fonts Fixedsys and Sans.
Also, pay attention to menu selection. It's been debugged, fonts have been changed, and nifty visual effect has been added.

Change the Fallout TC title into an image. Match it to the greynes of the background. Make it in a nice logo.

Check out the logo. Oh, and I also removed 'bold' property of 'hovering' link. Menu now looks more 'calm', if there's such thing.

1. Move each menu element into it's own table cell, so that only it will be highlightened. If you still want to highlighten the whole menu section, I'd recommend you to move the event handler into the <td> tag which corresponds to the menu section (otherwise the menu section blinks when moving the pointer between it's elements.)

2. Accent the menu section names a little bit more. They look so thin in comparison with the Fixedsys font of the menu elements :) You can make them images, too.

I will not make menu titles bigger, because 'Introduction' will not fit :-) This, and that menu titles are PLANNED to be on the background.

Here're the possible solutions: use another font for the menu headers, increase the menu width or use a shorter word instead of 'introduction'. Also, I personally think the menu is a bit overloaded. You can move progress bar to the news page, and the 'news' and 'welcome' links to the about section.
