Nope, all users and passwords will be imported over so there's no need to re-register.
 
Posts and everything are imported. The problem I have with vbulliten is the problem of it not remembering which posts I've visiting. For some reason it never gets it right - don't visit it in over 12 hours and it assumes you've read all posts. It could just be the bad forums I've been to though. I still love phpBB though :(
 
AFAIK that was fixed, the remember post issue..

But remember that we haven't decided to convert to vbulletin yet, it's just an idea right now. And something that I'm testing out.

Or a bank account outside the US or Canada rather. :P

(Paypal offers transfer from bank account in Germany)
 
Allows British bank accounts too.

re vbulliten: I have no problems with it, if the rememer post thing was fixed. I still preffer phpbb :D

Heh, never heard that before. 2.2 was supposed to be released before summer last year if I recall correctly, it then got pushed back and are now being called 3.0 instead of 2.2..

The easiest would be to keep this board, that's a given. The question is tho, is it the safest and best ? Well that's what I'm testing out and checking.. For now the phpBB stays (of course)..

Why did everyone have to re-regester, Odin? Can't you move the user database file to the new server?

Summer in what country? I really hate it how people just say "summer" on the net etc, when it's just as easy to write the month.

Like I said, if we move onto vBulletin then there's no talk of having to re-register your accounts. Every user and password will be the same on the vbulletin forum as the phpBB forum, the import/conversion makes that possible.

Earlier you guys had to re-register due to the fact that there weren't any importers/converters from DC Forum to phpBB.
 
Well the good news is that we now have enough money to buy an owned license of vBulletin, but we want to wait a while before buying it. Since there's more to think about then just buying it.
 
This Commissar has requisitioned additional resources to be diverted to these boards. When said resources become available they shall be forwarded as quickly as possible. Or I can just send picture of me getting rid of my shirt (To send to Odin, like the title suggests). Let me know what is preferred.

Give US your shirt

an NMA shirt would be a great way to make you some cash. Now days when alot of people think NMA they think Fallout related things. Am I wrong? Hell I would buy a shirt or two if you had NMA radio active shirt with Sherrif Marcus on front crossed out.
