All of this just goes to show how fucking awful genres are in video games.

I mean, Twisted Metal has nothing to do with racing and yet, there it is!

I feel the same. I mean, all of those console shooters, racing and sports games? I've honestly never heard of them.
 
What's Halo Anniversary doing in da shooter section? Bloody things a re-release of Halo CE.

Also Action/Adventure doesn't have any adventure games in it. Plenty on the indie scene and Steam just came out... then again I guess they would be stuck in RPGs or something.
 
Hello all,

Man I really found it difficult to choose as so many of the entries are so crappy.
In the end I chose Civ 5 in the strategy section as I have fond memories of the series, but for the rest, I either don't know them or don't care.

Same here. I can hardly find new games worth buying anymore. I only own three of the games on the list. If Wasteland 2 fails I may quit gaming all together... not really.

Doom 4 might bring the genre back into the light...or it will catapult us into another dark age. Votes still out on that one.
