That'll probably be the budget version that was released some time ago. Mind you, if it is, 9.95 isn't cheap because the budget version comes in a dvd box and without the great manual.
I bought a copy of Arcanum when it hit the shelves, but I recently bought a new copy of it on eBay for 15 euros. That was cheap since it was the cardboard box edition, it contained the manual and map and everything was in mint condition.
I tend to buy two copies of my favourite games. Don't know why, really, it's like I'm scared that I might break a disc or something and never be able to play the game again. So I have 2 copies of Arcanum, two copies of Fallout, two copies of Fallout 2, two copies of Fallout Tactics, two copies of Age Of Empires 2 and two copies of The Conquerors Expansion for Age Of Empires 2. Oh, call me crazy. If I were to find another copy of Arcanum, Fallout or Fallout 2, I'd probably buy it again.

i was also looking at Weird Wars: The Unknown Episode of WWII - dunno if it is anygood or not, looks entertaining, however.

No, the budget version is still on two cdroms, but the case is one of them cheap dvd cases, which is a shame, because they couldn't fit the neat printed manual in there, nor the map. So the budget version has an extra cdrom with the manual on it.

oh, i just want the game, i look at the cool "includes" like once, then put them away, only to be annoyed by them when i move or reorganize the house and think "where in the hell did all this crap come from???"
Some people -alec- would name their kid Arcanum...
