Pretty much yeah.
For me the entire decade felt pretty much like shit as things I liked or cared about were taken away.


On personal level:

Being forced to leave home as pressure from outside and loosing basic essentials like heating are pushing my stress level to the maximum.
Parent's words of wait it out no longer calm me down.

Parent is taken away by psychiatrist and our house is sold the moment bank gets the opportunity.

Loosing a cat I had for fifteen years which I considered a family relative and a friend.
I was never able to find her again.

While parent wins the court case we never see any of the compensations as opposing party keeps stalling.

Parent dies, and I suddenly find myself alone (yes I do have family, but I was close to parent), having to rebuild my life.


On interest level:

George Lucas continues to fuck up Star Wars, being a fan of the original trilogy this is very disappointing.
I no longer care about the franchise.

As an added bonus, George Lucas fucks up Indiana Jones with insane space aliens story and introducing the 'son' of Indiana Jones.
Why couldn't he leave that series to rest.


Interplay continues to decent down the quagmire it has created for itself while its moronic self proclaimed business genius continues to live in an alternate reality.

Fallout 3 (Van Buren) is canceled in in favor of a pathetic BG: DA Fallout clone.

Later Herve sells the Fallout franchise to Bethesda who butcher the franchise and cut and paste stuff together in their 'true successor' to the franchise, much to the rejoice of moronic gamers throughout the world who never cared about Fallout before.


The dreaded Star Trek Enterprise airs, instead of feeling like something that took place before the original series we get rehashes of TNG plots and inconsistent characters whose popularity is more based on their actor's appearance than on being good written characters. (Trip gushers on TrekBBS)

After two years of terrible plots, we get a terrible war arc and it becomes more obvious the producers never had ever had a basic idea where they wanted to go with the series.

Enterprise gets canceled after a change of regime fails to save the series.

Following the example of Battlestar Galactica Star Trek needs to be rebooted so that famous characters can be brought back.
The movie is severally dumbed down, Kirk is turned into an irritating dick, and all logic is dumped out of the airlock in favor for sexual innuendo and explosions.
Moronic people all over the world who never cared for Star Trek rejoice, it finally appeals to them.

Star Trek franchise is dead to me.


Moore's new Battlestar Galactica airs.
Show doesn't appeal to me and even irritates me with its overdone Christian messages and the Cylon sex bots.
Moore, just make your own creations instead of altering others to your vision.


Valve keeps fucking up the releases of Half Life 2 episodes.
Wanting to make something good is one thing, delaying releases in favor of other franchises is another.


Metal Gear continues it's journey from a neat military stealth game into batshit insane under Kojima who is more focused on adding tons of cutscenes than gameplay.


Terminator franchise who was successfully concluded is brought back, first the terrible Terminator 3 with John Connor rewritten as a whining asshole with delusions of grandeur between the whining. (I am to lead man against the machines)
What is the need for the female character.

A fourth terrible movies is made that continues on pissing on the franchise.
If the original screenplay had been used I would have gone to Hollywood and killed both writers in gruesome ways. (Skynet kills most humans in order to save the species, turning the survivors into cyborgs, hence salvation)

Oh yeah, a series is made which introduces a time war between Skynet and the Tech Com rebels, turns Sarah Connor in a housewife/undercover machine fighter, John Connor into a schoolboy/undercover last hope for humanity (yeah right) and introduces a female terminator protector who obviously is the Connor love interest.
Show mired by idiotic plot devices.
The IMO less intelligent Terminator fans rejoice for more Terminator, even if it is at the sake of the franchise's soul.


Video games continue to decline in order to appeal to the moronic masses who feel that they have a right to the entire pie.
Publishers really don't care as the vision has changed from making things that are really good and push the medium forwards, to making lots of money for the CEO's and the executives while milking dry franchises or re using old ideas in a new package.


Alien and Predator franchises are ruined by the terrible AVP movies.
Fox wants to continue both franchises as AVP.

Seeing as they are now making a Predators movie, I guess this plan fell through.
Still from the rumors Predators is as terrible as the AVP movies.


Sorry for some of the grammar mistakes guys, I was just writing down some of the things that really frustrated me, and that still wasn't even everything.

I could go on about politics, bringing up the idiot boy king made president who together with his cronies and investors, as well as the Wall Street gang pretty much put our lives upside down in their need for greed.

Or the wars they dragged our countries into in the war against terrorism.

Or a load of other things like the religious fundies who think we should all turn back to God as they feel we are straying to much away from Him, or the established churches who really want our souls and wallets.

Ugh, I have already brought up to much.

Anyway, this decade can curl up and die in some corner and that still would not be good enough.

2000 - 2009 in my opinion was the decade of the superficial moron.

I honestly hope that in 2010 and afterwards good taste and intelligence returns, pushing this group back into the hole from which they came and where they belong.
