Here comes postal 3

Tom Sawyer

First time out of the vault
I have played both 1 and two. And I know that it was meant to be tounge in cheek, not to be confused with the real world.

Sorta like Fallout 2 in that you could pimp your spouse, cap a kid, or just run crazy

Heres a link to gamespot and an article where Vince Desi talks about Rockstar Games Manhunt 2 getting banned in UK and the dreaded AO rating

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/postal3/news.html?sid=6172928&mode=recent

I have a problem with the rating system where it scares gaming companies into dumbing down or ruining a good game because it might not sell.

Its not up to goverments to control what kids do, its up to the parents. More and more I see people turning into sheep and allowing big brother the power to tell them right from wrong. And as an American that scares the hell out of me.

Seems like the behavior concerning alcohol applies for games too; If younger kids can't get hold of it, they either steal it, get some older kid to buy it or copy the ingredients and make it themselves. And kids are likely to produce dangerous brews. I say we are, and have since been, heading towards a lot of fun thanks to the rating system.

Yeah, fucking communists  . They want to control everyone's lives, first they ban games for teenagers, then they ban games for adults.
Then they ban freedom of artistic expression, freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
Such are the ways of those commies.
The commies are great danger to society.

:Gaming ist Krieg!:

I always liked to read Vince Desi's interviews, especially when he speaks his mind about the game industry and censorship. Postal 2 was cool. I also played the first one a bit but didn't like it that much. Can't believe it was banned in 13 different countries though. I mean, seriously, it's not worse than a South Park episode

Heh...
I always thought that Postal 1 was dead serious. But maybe it's because I played it when I was in mood to murder a lot of people.

So, was it the games fault in the first place?

You mean my murderous mood?
No, it was the fault of the communist bastards that plotted to destroy the gaming culture - i.e. censorship lovers.

As for thinking that Postal 1 was serious - I think that it's an artistic game - I mean music, loading pictures, main character's voice and hand-drawn terrain give the game a great atmosphere of pure misanthropic madness.

The original postal was a far sight different than postal 2, it was very dark and not nearly as comical. I actually thought it was a much better game than postal 2.

I liked the original more than the sequel. The second is just a shooter with pretty crappy graphics and gameplay. The multiplayer aspect of the first one was quite fun in a LAN.

Postal kicks ass. I cant wait for Postal 3. I loved how you can pour gasoline everywhere and piss on peoples faces. And even make them throw up. Id say it has a lot of freedom. Postal kicks ass!

Im sorry I really do like the games though. I'm just stating my opinion. I'm not trying to spam. I genuinely like those games, and I recommend them(the ones I've stated). If someone asked me why they are great, I would tell them. But you don't know until you play them. My bad though.

Postal 2. How I wasted so many hours by running around, peeing everybody, smoking weed, grabbing cats and use them as silencer, watching elephant charging at hopeless marching band.

Good shit. Hope they keep the violence in-tact in Postal 3.

The Postal games are a riot, in more ways than one. I want Postal 3! I just wish Steam would stop taking their time fixing their Postal 3 page so we can purchase it directly. I might just as well buy a hard copy. I'm not going to buy it directly from RWS, though. They want over $15 for UPS ground shipping.
