Honest Hearts out on Steam

WorstUsernameEver

But best title ever!
Tuesday is almost finished for many people in Europe and Honest Hearts is finally live on Steam. Price is $9.99/9.99€ just as with Dead Money and the upcoming DLCs. In case you forgot, here's what Honest Hearts is about:
An expedition into the unspoiled wilderness of Utah's Zion National Park goes horribly wrong when your caravan is ambushed by a tribal raiding band. As you try to find a way back to the Mojave you become embroiled in a war between tribes and a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man. The decisions you make will determine the fate of Zion.
EDIT: Users on various forums report that, as of now, a purchase is impossible as Steam shows an error when processing the transaction. Talk about a fiasco.

EDIT 2: It appears that a work-around has been found in self-gifting. Weird.

EDIT 3: Reportedly the issue has been resolved and you can purchase it freely now.

Tried to buy it, but it doesn't seem to accept any payment method, all of them promptly end in errors. Anyone has the same problem?

Bethsoft forums are full of those errors, yeah. Not a single post about a successful purchase yet.

Edit: Someone said gifting it to yourself on Steam works.

Okay, so let me get this straight:

1) Jason Bergman happily tweets that Honest Hearts is up on the Live Marketplace, should be up on Steam "shortly"

2) DLC gets released on Steam 10 hours later

3) Purchasing it gives an error during transaction.. lots of (justified) raging

4) People find a workaround.. they gift it to themselves.

What is this I don't even.

No, seriously, is there some internal saboteur at Bethesda? New Vegas DLC's "plan" has been a gigantic failure so far.

Not for me, still have to go by the billing screen, still blocked by the error. Hell, it's now on the Steam front page and the problem persists. I guess with Witcher 2 and Fable 3 coming out today the servers are a bit overloaded.

Wait, there was a plan?

So, how am I supposed to gift it to myself? Sending the gift mail to my own mail adress?

/Edit: Yep, gifted it to my own e-mail adress and it seems to work. Downloading now.

Normally yes, but at least for me this doesn't work either.

Not even mentioning the game freezing bug I described in the other thread (reproducable) and the big "WTF?" at the ending+stuff which makes no sense. :|

To be fair, this seems to be Valve's fault, not Bethesda's.

Still ends in an error if i try to buy it over Steam, no matter what sort of transaction i choose.
At least for me it still doesn't work.

You've tried already to send it to your mail as a gift?

Yep, that didn't work yesterday. Well, they had fixed it for me when i tried to buy it before i went to bed yesterday, so thev've got it solved.
