Horrigan critter to Arcanum

Hello,

I hope there are some people here that also have some knowledge about arcanum... anyway, there is currently an idea floating around to make a mechasuit in Arcanum for the smaller critters (draws ect) now there was on that mentioned that horrigan would make a nice body for the armour.

Do you guys know is this is possible? there would be problems like the FO 6 ways view agains arcanums 8 ways view (can't explain that part well in english, sorry)
The body has animations for a huge knife and gun so it migh te usefull. A rather bad part would be that horrigan has only walk animations...

So what do you guys think?

I think the missing views are going to be nearly impossible to add in, or you could use animations from one of the other Power Armors instead. Why use the huge Horrigan armor for elves?

If you can rip bitmaps out of Arcanum .art files, then you should see what the difference in palette and resolution is. Those spiders would make neat new Fallout critters, and much easier to drop 2 views and make them 6-way. With only 15 degrees difference in the angles, it would be much smoother animation than with Fallout switching 120 degrees when walking straight up and down.

The best option would be to use critters from Fallout Tactics as they have 8 orientations to start with. There are a couple of cool models that you coudl use:

1) The FOT Power armour
2) The cyborg general model - blade attacks etc...

Name: Cyborg General

If you need hand extracting the images from FOT I can probably help you.

hey thats not bad at all!
But may look bad if you put it to the engine which is using totally different camera angles (like FOT --> FO). Movement animations of FOT sprites converted to FO critters look really, really bad - jumping/sliding/other ugly side effects (with all respect to Wild Qwerty's hard work).

Err, that's because I worked out the angles wrong the FOT critters just run on the spot, I used scripts for frame animator to adjust the offset to make them move.

From memory the cyborg general model has a full set of animations.
