How to get fewers encounters when traveling?

Use the FTtools...edit campaign....open Bos.cam file...click random along top ...then you will work it out from there...it isn't to difficult..
 
Whoops...I did it for the Awaken mod which puts a bos.cam file in the campaign directory......the original FT dpesn't seem to have a bos.cam file....sorry....someone lese may be able to help.

Tokk, hello, bos.com is always here, but most time it packed in game archives with *.bos extensions. They are simple RAR archives. UnRAR them in core directory of your FT, and then you can easily locate bos.cam and other files.

Then just do it:

Um, what is the rar file called then? it wont screw up my game if i unrar it?do i need to rar it again after?
 
The files are just uncompressed zip archives they can be opened in just about any archiver. The file you want is Mis-Main_0.bos just open it up and extract the file bos.cam and no don't re-archive it afterwards just extract it to core\campaigns.
 
Ok, managed to open the file.
Do i need to go through all of those things listed on the left? Is the numbers dispalyed on the map the chanse to encounter the thing chosen on the left?
How do i move about the map?
 
Yeah click on each...you will see the map light up yellos to reds where ebcounters are...just right click on them and they go away...

Awaken mod is on this forum...it's excellent and makes the game abit more like an rpg...just abit though.
