how to spend skill points after getting promoted?

And how much do I need save (please be carefull with the spoilers)

Another question. I saw my perception went up in skill level after walking around the exploding fruits. Skill like brawling also go up with usage? Since I been fighting alot but its still al level 2.

I think it would be good to save some skill points (3 iirc) for those characters that don't go melee. I don't think any of the other high-level skills is indispensable really, a lot of them might make some situation easier or give you additional options, but you should be able to do just fine.

EDIT: Also, since skills get raised by usage, you should try to spend skp only on new skills you want to acquire. Or at least, that's how I played and it worked well.
 
high IQ unlocks all the skills if the library has them 'on sale'.

Seems u can raise ur combat skills faster if u use them on badass enemies.

For example my 1st character spent lots of time shooting on weak creatures and got his assault rifle skill from level 1 to level 4. then my 2nd character learned level 1 assault rifle from the library and sprayed bullets on some powerful cyborgs, the skill went up to level 3 in two battles... also i think (guess) the higher key attribute of the skill you got, the faster the skill gains levels.
