Hubris Comics: Fallout 4 is self aware?

So the terminals in Hubris comics describe internal conflicts regarding the development of one of their TV shows based on a comic book.

The conflict is based on accusations of dumbing down the franchise and introducing gimmicks for marketing purposes in order to be successful on a larger scale (that is, on television).

Here is one of the terminals:
"I came into work today and found another stealth revision to the shooting script. Now the Shroud has an English butler? I keep telling Babowski that we need our core fans to be our evangelists, so we can't keep making these stupid little changes. You have to talk to him...otherwise, I swear I'm bringing it up to Pete."

Other terminals complain about the bad choices for voice acting.

Another terminal responding to these concerns:
"We have to accept that there's going to be changes to get to the small screen. I agree that our fans are important - but the Silver Shroud's numbers outside of Boston are...well, not ideal...Mr. Babowski thinks an English butler could help the show."

Another terminal:
"We're not writing Shakespeare here...I know you don't like the new monkey, but focus loves him."

A final terminal describes the lead writer quitting. LOL

So to sum up:
1) A dumbing down of the series in order to appeal to a larger audience
2) Introduction of an English butler used as a gimmick (Codsworth saying 1000 names used as a marketing gimmick)
3) "We're not writing Shakespeare here" - compare to Pete Hines saying: ""not interested in discussing how realistic things are in an alternate universe post-apoc game w/ talking mutants and ghouls""
4) Lead writers who made the series famous leaving (after Morrowind).
5) Introduction of the "new monkey" - compare to the creepy cymbal monkeys.
6) Complaints over bad choices for voice acting (the actors chosen have awful voices)

I almost can't tell if I'm talking about Hubris Comics or Bethesda and Fallout 4...

I just found the similarities quite amusing.

I think based on the Kid in the Fridge quest that the writers and developers are just so bad that they didn't even notice the similarities between these terminals at Hubris Comics and their own game.

A fair comparison, it's fun for a while but it lacks the depth and staying power of the originals (and New Vegas)

I was hoping for a gritty reboot of Jurassic Park but they decided to go for Summer Blockbuster. It was ok until the point where Chris Pratt says "That thing's part RAPTOR! It can talk to Raptors!" and I lost it about the same way as Kid in the Fridge and Cabot House. Still, it wasn't awful.

That was what I was talking about.

This never happened to Bethesda during Fallout 4's development, so saying its an item of parallel, as the OP did, doesn't make sense.

Unless he was talking about Kirkbride, which doesn't make much sense because 99% of everything Kirkbride wrote for Morrowind got thrown out, and the guy who re-wrote the game, Kurt Kuhlmann, is still at Bethesda as one of the project leads on every game they made.

There never been part of FO4 development. Unless you were thinking about Emil, I wonder if he is going to get an other award this year.

Bethesda's writers left after Morrowind as I understand it, so that explains the parallel - lead writers who made the series famous were gone for the production of Fallout 4. Or you can draw the parallel between writers from New Vegas not being on the team. Either way works.

The only real writer who left during or after Morrowind was Kirkbride, and most of what he wrote for Morrowind got thrown out, with really only the 36 Sermons of Vivec being his(You can tell how much got thrown out because the sermons were the original history of the tribunal, but nothing in-game matches it at all)

The people who have written Bethesda's games since Morrowind are still there. Which has been mostly Todd and Kurt Kuhlmann. Though Kirkbride does still make stuff up for TES, under contract and on his own, which Bethesda uses.

I'm sorry to be so blunt, but almost all of this is wrong. Kirkbride wrote quite a bit more than just the 36 Lessons, as listed here:

I highly doubt that "most of" Kirkbride's writings were cut - I'm sure some stuff was, but he was definitely involved in coming up with the true backstory of the Tribunal and their history with Nerevar, so his view of the lore couldn't have been so far estranged from Bethesda's that he meant the 36 Lessons as the Tribunal's genuine history. It was a mix of pro-Tribunal political propaganda and Vivec's own teachings. Also, Kirkbride is far from the only key writer to have left Bethesda since Morrowind. Douglas Goodall quit shortly after the game's release, Kuhlmann himself left while it was being developed and only returned for Skyrim, and Ken Rolston quit after Oblivion.

Again, sorry I'm contradicting you and all. TES lore is a favorite subject of mine.

They did the same in Nuka World.

The RobCo Battle Zone has the developers admit the crowds are pissed at them.

"Basically, they realized all of our robots are just reskins of commonly used older models and all our claims of new enemies are bullshit."
