I have a proposition to "save" Fallout from Bethesda

It's not really "saving" the series, but hear me out...

I'm sure everyone here already does this, but we pretend Bethesda doesn't exist, meaning no Fallout Capital Wasteland, Fallout Synth, or Fallout Disappointment. What I say we do after this is pretend Interplay got to make Van Buren, but it's just different enough to allow Fallout New Vegas to exist. We call Van Buren Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas Fallout 4. Then, we just make Fallout fan games/comics/animations/films that take place in the west and pretend they're official Fallout sequels.

I know I'm kinda cringe, but what about it?

Fallout New Vegas conflicts with Van Buren so you're gonna have to choose one over the other and I'd go with Van Buren over FNV.
Ans this is pretty much what a lot of us are doing. I don't care what Bethesda trots out, I refuse to accept it as canon.
I will on the other hand accept anything from TC projects that don't contradict the lore (too much, a little mistake here and there is acceptable so long as it is rare).

But getting everyone together to agree on what to accept as the "real canon" and not and create like wiki that completely ignores the newer games isn't going to work because everyone has a different idea of what would work best for Fallout. Some would even disregard anything that came after Fallout 1.

Well, I was thinking it could be like SCP or creepypasta or something, where you can see all these different depictions and you decide what you believe is the "cannon".

oh those, I want to try them but I don't want to overwrite Fallout 1 and 2
What do you mean overwrite? The lore? Or your game files?

If it's the latter, the TC mods are installed to its respective folder within the game folder, so no problemo for the vanilla games.
