The Improved Flamer differs from the Flamer in only one way: it has a perk called Flameboy. Does anyone know exactly what this perk does, Timeslip or anyone?

I tested the flamer vs. the improved flamer pretty extensively, and can confirm they perform exactly the same. In around half the runs through Vault City the normal flamer came out slightly on top, so I feel safe saying this. I think there was supposed to be a bonus for using the improved flamer and the Mk2 fuel together, but I'm just guessing that from the item description.
