Insectophobia...

Saturn

First time out of the vault
Hey everyone, ive got a problem. I love the fallout games, and I really want to share them with my fiancé. The problem is she is terrified of bugs. I have the playstation version of Fallout 3(game of the year) and new Vegas. Any advice on how to help her is much appreciated. :( :(

Well everyone is terrified of Bugs, no one likes losing their save files or quests breaking.

Get a PC version, there is a mod that removes insects.

49 dollars for the ultimate Edition, play it on low settings, doesn't sound like a hundred dollar venture...

It is actually possible to install mods for Fallout 3 on your PS3, but you'll have to run your own search and figure it out. I don't want to take responsibility for posting any how-to links as I'm not clear on the forum rules in regards to console-hacking.

Honestly, I picked up a used computer that was surplus from my city's municipal government offices for about $100 Canadian, and it was good enough to play Fallout 3 on. If you can do the research on what you need and where you can get it cheap, it is possible to build a very thrifty gaming PC that'll handle games as old as Fallout 3 is now.

They are pretty gross and I know this will sound assholeish but:

You can shoot them.

Kidding aside, there is nothing you can do other than try to get through it (might not be an option) or mod them out on a PC. I wouldn't recommend trying to mod your PS3 version.

It's a tough one thats for sure, theres bug things everywhere in all the games. Especially 3 and NV.

Are you sure that sharing a game like this is the best thing for your fiance?

Not to sound like an a-hole, but I think there are perhaps two or three other things you do for her that won't potentially get her terrified...or is that the actual idea behind the whole thing?

Also, unless by ' several hundred dollar venture' you mean getting a whole new PC, then buy a PC copy. Superior to others, anyway.
