Ok, so this is kinda on the wrong forum but it seemed more appropriate to post here.
Well, it has been a while since I last visited these forums, a loss on my behalf as I did enjoy my time writing here. If I could, I would be back here in an instance but life never deals the hand you expect...
Well, for the last few days, I have been trying to find a fitting book to read whilst I journey on a morning and night. But, at the thought of searching for something new or blowing the two inches of dust I have been growing on some of my old ones, I decided that I was in need of something different. Post apocalyptic sprung to mind.
What better than LW eh? Yes, I believe I have just given my poor little printer a critical heart attack by printing out the entire first two chapters of the RP. (Be strong my little hero, I am here with you…) Well, that should keep me entertained for a while.
So, why the title Inspirations? Well, during my entire time here at NMA, writing on the RP forums, I found that certain things for some obscure reason managed to actually give me some inspiration to write, god knows how, but it did. Well, I was always meaning to post this on the forum but seems like many things, I never actually got around to it. So I just wanted to share with you all what these were… (Bored yet? No? good...)
Music. Not just any music, but actually Fallout theme tunes. To be precise, the theme music from the Brotherhood of Steel, Necropolis (God bless Set the little bastard, I sooo wanted to be him) and finally Vault City. Listening to these themes for some reason, made me want to play the game, and I ended up thinking of little else…
When writing, it helped me write more fluently and clearly. As for getting better ideas, well that didn’t change much. A lost cause in my opinion but hey, it could work for you.
I also used a lot of my Fallout experiences from back in the day when I played Fallout 1 for ideas in the RP. Especially combat scenes.
Ok, so kinda pointless information, just thought I would share it with you. If nothing else, you can listen to the music just for the crack of it
Anyways, I gotta run, it’s been nice visiting back here and good luck with all future projects. I love the Fallout 1 Vault 13 RP, especially the way Welsh is playing his char. Funny stuff…
But, there’s a lot of new stuff around and although I don’t have time to read all of it, I wish you all the best of luck.
Happy Rping people
Jon
Oh almost forgot, link to those music files…
