According to a source of ours Interplay is most likely dead, here's what he said:
Everyone was sent home today. There is likely now money coming for the late payroll and bankruptcy is likely being filed this week.
We're going to investigate this more....

The poll on the main page is empty. Well, no surprise after the last investors conference with all that outstanding debts. Hopefully the remains are picked up by someone worthy. I would hope for something like Heroes of Might & Magic which has been sold by 3DO and is now under development again. Let's keep fingers crossed (as we do for years now) :)

I look at this with mixed emotions.

Satisfaction that Herve is screwed.

Sadness for the folks who are more then likely losing their jobs.

Regret that FO3 might not see the light.

IPLY stock is down to $0.8, which I believe is the new record. Looks like there might be something to be known...

Should be an interesting couple of days ahead.

Any thoughts as to whether they'll file Chapter 7 or 11?

I hope this is true, as there's no way in hell Interplay is going to manage to get any games made in their current state. Better all their licenses get sold then to have them stagnate in the Caen's money pit.

Nice to see you Bobbin.

I've always called NMA my home, but I did enjoy the poaching at the IP forums. Hopefully we'll see folks showing up here.

Although I'm doubtful SP will...

:p

SOmething else that's interesting.

I tried sending an email to Investory Relations, and got a bounce back, with Message Rejected.

well i saw it comming.......

But i feel sorry for the folks who are gonna lose their jobs......

Maybe if Interplay developed Fallout 3 this wouldnt have happened.....maybe........

In a way its sad.....i used to post on the Iplay forums.......so i'll miss those guys......

One final note of interest, and then I'll shut up for the day.

I caught this over at Raging Bull.

Not sure what to make of it, if it's true, perhaps IP is having to shut down operations until the the monies that are in process are transferred to their accounts.

Who knows a this point?

Some people in the know say that's about as likely as us winning the lottery while getting hit by an asteroid with an alligator chomping on our leg.

If you were a bank would you give a line of credit to IPLY considering all it's recent financial problems???

how unexpected... didnt the whole fallout community forsaw and waited for this? thats what happens when you backstab fans...

maybe iplay will somehow get itself out of the mess(even though not likely..).. but hopefully they learn their lesson.. and siriously consider relocating/hanging the people in the top...

Well.. that's an interesting thing.

does this now mean they will be forced to sell the licences or is there going to be some sneaky dealings going on allowing them to continue (not sure what exactly but i'm sure there is an industry procedure for this kind of thing)

I spoke with Luke Haase today, and he said that Vivendi and Avalon both owe Interplay money and that they are expecting payment from them sometime this week.

No, Iplay is trying to get one advancement of money that is only due in a few months, not to receive money that was suppose to receive now, this is deceitfull information and should be reported to the proper authorities.
