Well a new cable modem manufacturer has come into the fold. Some of the folks at Toshiba got together to produce a more "FAST" cable modem.
Toshiba have made quite a lot of modems. How is this one supposed to be better?
Oh this modem is not necessarily better than the next guy. It's the color, up until now cable modems have been pretty darn bland. Note that this is technically not Toshiba. Some folks left Toshiba to start their own company.

Does it come in different colors? I can't imagine that pinkish-red would match very many cases.
The photo does not reflect its color that well I suppose. In person, its a deeper red. It comes in red and boring black. I'm thinking about suggesting they go for piano black as that would be awesome.

So basically what you're doing is spamming us with advertising for your workplace?
And the bonus question: If the speed is limited by my ISP and I reach that speed with my current modem, why the hell would I need a supposedly faster modem?
...Yes, I'm "spamming" you with advertising... Wait a tink?! Isn't this is the gaming and hardware forum!?
As for the bonus question... You misunderstood my post and I apologize for not making that abundantly clear. When I put the word "fast" in italics I intended for a play on the word in regards to its color. Sort of like those kids that drive Honda's with the stickers that add to the horsepower of their car.
If you are pleased with your cable modems performance, keep it. If you were looking for aesthetics (like me), then this is exciting.

So ehm, what's so special about this thing?
Its RED! If it sells well there may be other 1337 colors and custom cable modem cases may be in order. After having thousands upon thousands of bland cable modems cross my hands, to see this...
